If your mom said no to bleaching, then how are you going to get highlights? From what it sounds like, you have a lot of damage going on...
My advice would be to think about it and wait a month. Do deep conditioning treatments once a week. To do this, buy some Redken Extreme conditioner (or if you want you can buy the non-professional conditioner-just look at the ingredients and make sure protein is in them). Then after you wash your hair, put the conditioner on it, put a cap on top of it, and get your blowdryer out and blowdry for about 10 minutes. The heat will open the cuticle on your hair shaft to allow the protein in---thus making your hair healthier and stronger.

DON'T PUT ANYTHING ELSE IN YOUR HAIR!!!!!!!!!!
Sun In is not the same as hair color,do not put any other chemical on top of it. If you do your hair could break off or turn gummy or both. If you go to a salon make sure you tell them that you put Sun In in your hair,if they say it is okay and they are going to put a chemical on it,then you need to run out of there because they have no idea what they are doing. I'm sure you would rather have your hair the way it is now and not bald, right?

You should do whatever you think is best for you. It sounds like highlights would be a good idea but since i cant see your hair that is not a definate. If it turns out you don't like it you can always redye your hair something else. Your head is like your canvas and you are the only artist that should change the painting. But be weary don't do somrthing too outrageaous that you will regret.

hi to sparkling up this difficulty you may want to ought to get a bleach like Bblone and the 12% peroxide yet you'll pick to go away it on for a least 90mins also you may want to finally end up white which isn't a superb seem. to sparkling up all you hair complications merely dye it brown dont use a smooth golden brown because it wont coever the orange and dont use a blonde because it wont do some thing to the colour yet make it worse. you pick to bypass darker dont be alarmed if its darkish brown you placed on as you receives a extra acceptable covereage yet as its a smooth color its happening it's going to be a lighter result contained in the acceptable in case you understand what I advise. in case you bypass to a hairdresser all they are going to do is dye over it anyhow and it really is going to value you a fortune so merely get placed on a cap or get someone to bypass to tescos and get a brown or darkish brown hair dye optimal semi-permenant and then your solid to bypass, yet in destiny go away the bleach on lengthy adequate previously you wash it off.

"Bleaching" your hair is bad. Try professional foil highlights at a good local salon (rather expensive).

You really need to be careful with this one. If you do highlights, just do a few........you don't want to damage your hair.

You have way too much going on. I would advise you not to do anything else before you seriously damage your hair.
