First of all, you are not stationed, you are selected through an extremely rigourous screening process. Tomb guards pledge never, even as civilians, to use foul language or act in an insolent manner. They have a few other pledges which you can look up.
These are very special people. Some stay longer than the minimum term which when I was active duty, was two years.

In the Navy, people stationed at Arlington Cemetary are often selected out of boot camp based on their military bearing and character. Of course, there are also higher-ranking military members stationed there.
I know a few people who went to Arlington right out of boot camp. They were there for around three years. During that time, they could not advance in their rate (specialty) because they had not been to their training schools. Thus, they remained E-3s for years, while people who went straight on to school advanced to E-4 and beyond. Not a very good deal, if you ask me. :)

Typically 2-3 years. More or less depending on whether the Army needs you somewhere else.

I think a tour of duty (not overseas) generally lasts about three years.

Depends on which branch of service you're in, which unit, and the needs of both.
