There is really no set time how long you'll be in one duty station over another. A minimum of 1 year for sure, but some places require more. Enlistments now days can be as short as two years for some MOS (Military Occupation Specialty) upto 4 yrs. not including inactive reserve time. When you enlist your actually enlisting for 6 yrs. This is not to say that you have to serve active duty for the full 6, but that after your active duty time is up if for any reason the military feels that they need you you can be called up again.

Depends on what service and where you are stationed.

In the Army, they were, I don't know about now,

12 months in Iraq
13 months in Korea
3 years in Germany and some other countries.

Army used to be 3 year enlistments and you could re enlist for longer periods. For those drafted it was 2 years, unless they came home in a body bag first!

it may take over 30 days to get carry of the bonus if the place of work artwork wasn't document genuine. he needs to refer to his command about it. they don't deliver checks anymore it's going to be direct deposited into the account he has his pay set up to bypass into. it also will be taxed.
