I read this off of a dudes profile... So it wasn't directed to me- I just want to know what does it from a guys sight.

Well it usually means that they just want to get to know you.cause they've either been hurt be for and don't want to get hurt again.So they want to start off as friends to see if the relationship will lead to dating.and if there's not chemistry in the relationship then you still have him as a good friend.and i would talk a guy friend anytime.

It can mean he truly wants to get to know you first to see if the relationship could/should become something more; Maybe he doesn't want to get involved romantically because of goals he's trying to achieve and doesn't want/need another person tagging along because it wouldn't be advantageous to either party(can't devote the proper time and energy to a romantic relationship, but hanging out occasionally is fine and fun!); or, worse case scenario, he's just a knucklehead who can't say what he really means: "i don't think a relationship with you can go anywhere and I'm too much of a pu$$y to come out and be direct"!

Thats a gentle way of saying i dont like you. Just read between the lines and you'll understand. But dont despair as there's a glitter of hope in what he said. "Lets see what happens..." to me means, he's not totally closing the door on you. Now its up to you how you will respond to his statement. Its either you forget him or accept the offer and be good friend with him, and for the two of you know each other more. And who knows..? Good luck. :-D

In my experience that means that he is unsure about having a relationship. "Let's just start off as friends," is an open opportunity for him to "explore his options". It leaves him an opportunity to continue and grow the relationship or if it is not to his liking then he can use his statement to keep the friendship. It sounds as if he is some what kind hearted. Keep your options open..

.
.
If you don't understand that a relationship is always greater when it includes the basic element of "friendship" and "liking" each other first of all things;

then would you prefer to jump into the sex, and LATER find out you can't stomach the other persons personality and quirks;
or worse, find out that the man between your legs last night, can't be trusted not to lie to you or worse? Where will you be without the trust?

Now I hope you understand this guys wisdom.

I would be brilliant of you to have that kind of wisdom for yourself in all your dating selections.

I wish you love

It can mean anything or nothing.

It can mean that he is not interested in a sexual relationship or that he is trying to get your guard do so he can get in your pants.

You have to understand a person by what he DOES. Then you can begin to understand the meaning of what he says.

Sounds like he wants to make sure there are no other options before settling down with you. Sorry, I try to tell it straight. Unfortunately, I've been there before. However, don't let it discourage you. Keep YOUR options open, too. Don't be waiting just for him. :-)

They wanna make sure you don't have constant bad breath, nervous ticks that make them crazy or are to over controlling before they commit to a relationship.
It could also mean that they really don't want to be your boyfriend.

He isn't in to you as much as you would like.
Kind of a safe way to say no without being direct.
