ie if the pub had some rooms to sleep for the night

so you could say drink what you wanted, pay 10 bucks and sleep the night and go home in the morning

saves the hassle of getting home drunk (driving), taxi prices and walking distances or other public transport.

Certainly beats the price of a DUI.
10 bucks would be a little cheap, though. I believe people would
be willing to pay a little more.

A place like this already exists, their called hotel lobby bars. If you get too smashed you could stumble right up to the check in desk although I'd hate to see what a 10 dollar room would look like when you consider the majority of the clientele are drunk people, my guess is a few are going to puke and at that rate good luck trying to hire someone to clean up that mess over and over again.

For sure! Sounds like a blast. Sleeping in a crummy bed stained with vomit from other drunken idiots. Sounds like the friggin Holiday Inn.

You've been watching too many Westerns.

Plus, a lot of hotels have bars so not exactly a novel idea.
