There's nothing wrong with it, but I would suggest giving to a local church-based charity instead. Your money will stay in the community and help people in need instead of possibly going to buy some TV preacher a new Caddy.

No, I believe that tithes and offerings are first and foremost intended to provide for the ministries of the local church in which you participate. If you do not participate in a local church then your first priority is not where to tithe, but where to go. Find a bible-believing, God-honoring church to attend, give them your offering, and then if you want to support television ministries in addition to that, go ahead.

God asks that you give as you have been blessed. Most people do that in their home church, but people don't realize that this isn't always about money or even your church. It could be spending time with shut ins. It could be ministering to the homeless in the shelters. It could be giving your money to a ministry you believe in. It could be donating to a charity. The idea is to give back to those less fortunate, but remember, churches need funding. Find a church and help them with their ministry.

I would not recommend giving to TV ministries, as they spend most of their money on million dollar homes and trips around the world, then claim that these things are done in Gods name. Instead give your money to a local charity or just drop by any church and give them your tithe. It doesn't matter which church you give to, as long as you give in Gods name.

Yes, there are some TV ministries that con people... but we as Christians are sometimes way too judgemental. If someone hears the Word then that's all the matters. If you decide to donate to a TV ministry, do you research. Find one that spends more on others than on buildings.

You should research where your money goes before you give it to anyone. Tithing is a very noble thing to do but don't do it blindly. You should try to find a good church near to where you live so you can experience the fellowship of the Body of Christ, also it will be easier to hold the pastor of that church accountable for your money because you can get to know him/her on a first name basis.

Your offerings should go to the preacher who is "feeding" your spirit with the word. The person who is teaching you deserves to get paid for it (1 Cor. 9:8-10). If you are getting all of your teaching from TV (which I do not recommend, by the way), then you should pay the TV minister for his time & effort, since you got something out of it.

Of course it is. I usually go with the one that helps me to learn the most,or my spiritual leader as some call it !
I believe in praying and asking God certain things too, but I haven't really been able totally to understand what God wants from me, so then as long as i know that its going towards Kingdom work, that is good enough for me for now !

No.
Televangelists are not good Christians -- they do not preach true Christianity and are responsible for waylaying the faith of America (at least the Christian Americans).
If you cannot find a church, find a good Christian charity (CCF or Salvation Army or United Way...) and donate your money to them.

Sure .. I think they are in need of a new mansion or possibly an update to their pink cadillac.

Better yet .. why not take some of your time and money and do something YOURSELF to help someone.
