We always just cut the front and back off the box, then cut a hole in one of them for the "effect". I read an interview by the grandson of the artist who created this and he said his grandfather did that on purpose,,, TOO COOL!!!

Yeah ... that's an old trick ...I did that when I was kid about 25 years ago ... but it never gets old.
There are similar things you can do with a dollar bill to make George Washington turn into a mushroom.
