I need to know if I can fix a relationship that means more to me then anything. We were exploring the possibilities of what could be and our line of communication broke down (long distance relationship) Has anyone had success at restoring a long distance relationship?

You have not described the elements of the relationship and why it didn't last.
Much depends on the parts under YOUR control.
If elements I will list for you, are under HIS control, then you must realize that you can't change him. You can not change another person, you can only change YOU.

For a relationship to last it must have the elements of being BEST-FRIENDS;
develop RESPECT for each other's differences, and be able to tolerate those differences;
AND you must be able to have or regain TRUST...you can't have a LONG lasting relationship without the trust.
Then after you have all that, you must have both people willing and WANTING to give and receive BALANCE in sharing and caring.

One person can not control all these elements, it must be mutual.
Lastly, if you want to be able to have sex at any level in the relationship, there must be the chemical and physical "attraction" element.

It is possible for a relationship to have all of the above without the LUST, but that is difficult if one wants it and the other doesn't. The want that is left "wanting" will suffer tremendously.

Only if you can put all these things together WELL will you be able to have the relationship.

I want to emphasize that the TRUST is a huge part of the equation...without it, you will soon run into problems that overpower love.
No matter how strong love is, it will hurt so much it will be TOXIC WITHOUT TRUST.

I wish you love

no move on once a relationship is broke you will always come back to why it broke in the first place. find someone new and start fresh.
