I have been on and off with my boyf for 4 years. Everytime we go to take our relationship one step further he runs a mile, because this has happened in the past I had learnt not to push him into anything but when he wants to get a place together, we start making plans then the next thing he runs off again. I dont get it. We have now been split up for a few months and now we are not officially together but now he's slowly working his way back into my life again!!

He is now saying he just wants to be friends and that he doesnt want it to get emotional btween us. I have asked why it cant get that way and he wont answer. Is he just scared to commit and its not a fact that he doesnt care for me still??

Have you tried telling him how you feel. Sounds like your relationship lacks a bit of honesty. Take him out one night and let him know how you feel. You don't want to be in a relationship that you can't take any further in fear that he will just leave. There are plently of guys out there that think the same way about women. I believe everyones different. Its best to find out how he feels before making a decision on your relationship with him. If you do break up its not the end of the world.

Good Luck Babe

your boyfriend seems like he still loves his space and doing what he likes when he likes without having to answer to anyone. honestly, i think you should move on. personally i have been in a similar relationship, the moment i spoke of commitment and marriage, there were disagreements and fights and im happy now that i got out of that relationship. i have friends who have given 9 years to a man only to have there relationship end 6 months before the wedding date.

i know you must love this person very much thats why you allow his to creep back into your life time and time again but think about it, if he loved you as much as you do then wouldn't he want to take a step towards commitment? why waste any more years hoping when you could meet some else who is just waiting to make you happy and wants exactly what you do?

You obviously haven't got the right guy.

If he isn't ready to commit after 4 years then get rid and find someone who is interested.

But if you do decide to get back with him. Make sure that he is willing to commit long term this time. If he isn't willing to then don't go there.

You don;t stick to your guns and he is used to the sick game of walking away and coming back when he is bored or whne his "other plans" failed miserabily. before you taking back this time, go out on a date and see if the grass is greener on the other side. After 4 years you deserve a straight answer on your relationship and he is not going to give you one because you always let him back in and you ask for nothing, therfore, you get nothing.

Play smart, you don;t want to wait forever do you?

Because you keep on taking him back. Dump him and find another. You'll see, there's still some lad out ther that will really commit.

Men won't commit because women are generally less fun when we are with them for long periods - however in short bursts they're pretty cool.

Women have stolen millions of our children. What do you want him to 'commit' to? You think he's a dumb a**?

Sort your act out sister and you will be attractive. Untill then women are pretty ugly.

You simply go for the wrong type. If after this time he still won't commit, he never will. Dump him and find someone that WILL!!!

forget about this silly guy, he is not serious. Dont take him back this time and make sure that he does not cross your path or anywhere near you so that he will know that this time you are serious and no jokes with him.
