then why does He allow Tsunamis, Tornadoes, Floods and other such disasters to Kill the innocent. Or maybe you know someone who went to the doctors office for a regular checkup and comes away from that visit with only 6 months to live - and they were decent people. Why does God allow such things.

All humanity is now involved in a great controversy between Christ and Satan regarding the character of God, His law, and His sovereignty over the universe. This conflict originated in heaven when a created being, endowed with freedom of choice, in self-exaltation became Satan, God's adversary, and led into rebellion a portion of the angels. He introduced the spirit of rebellion into this world when he led Adam and Eve into sin. This human sin resulted in the distortion of the image of God in humanity, the disordering of the created world, and its eventual devastation at the time of the worldwide flood. Observed by the whole creation, this world became the arena of the universal conflict, out of which the God of love will ultimately be vindicated. To assist His people in this controversy, Christ sends the Holy Spirit and the loyal angels to guide, protect, and sustain them in the way of salvation. (Rev. 12:4-9; Isa. 14:12-14; Eze. 28:12-18; Gen. 3; Rom. 1:19-32; 5:12-21; 8:19-22; Gen. 6-8; 2 Peter 3:6; 1 Cor. 4:9; Heb. 1:14.)

This question has been asked so many times. Here's the deal, I am not religious at all. Im not a Chritian or a Catholic or anything. But what I do believe in a God. My God set a path for me to live. If I passed away early, i believe it's my destiny to leave this earth at that certain time. What I dont believe is that God caused everything that happened in this world. That reason why I am not religious is because I am open to other people's opinion and believes. I even might question God a bit for certain things but Things happened for a reason. Only God can answer that. What I hate is when people blame God for everything that happened even the Good and the Bad. What I heard is that being alive is good but not great. Reality is not heaven. There will be disasters and problems in life. So people do good things so when they die, they end up going to heaven. Heaven is a place where nothing can go wrong. That's why there's natural disasters and problems in life cus if life is so great and nothing happened, nobody would want to go to heaven cus living is heaven already. Ofcourse you cannot cheat by killing yourself. You need to live a good life in order to go to heaven.

First, there is no such thing as an innocent person. Every single person on this planet has commited sin. I truly believe that God allows these things to draw people to Him. To embrace the truth of Jesus Christ and what He did for us. He calls to us always and most of the time we ignore Him. So sometimes I think He allows things that we see as bad in order to get us to stop ignoring Him.

God does allow things to happen, but he is never the cause. Satan the devil is resposible for all bad things that now plague mankind. The book of Revelations tells us that Satan only has a short time left and then he will be done away with. Be patient and soon we will see these promises fulfilled:
Psalms 37:9-11: "For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."

Isaiah 11:6-9: :The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea."

Remember also that even if people lose their lives now, God holds them in his memory and he has given his Son Jesus the power to resurrect all those who are sleeping in death back to life.
Jesus promises us that "all those in the grave will hear his voice and come out" --"Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming--- when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. ( John 5: 25 & 28)
Another thing to consider is how many people lose their lives in times of disasters because they did not heed the warnings given.
God is blamed even then. People sometimes bring about their own suffering and always God is blamed, but they fail to blame the one real cause of evil and suffering---Satan & his demons.

Maybe the love comes from the fact s/he/it is willing to let us experience life without intervening. Or maybe there really aren't words to describe what God is. Or maybe God has more things to worry about than the way mortals are interpreting how God is loving. Holding together the universe is a big job.

The things in this world are meant to bring each of us closer to God. Yes, bad things happen not because God can't change them or because he doesn't care. God is all powerful and loving. He loves us enough to let us choose what we want to do ( do you want to love Him). Some times people can do really mean things to each other. Does that mean that he can't stop them? No. He chooses to let us choose how to respomd to them.
Job was cursed and lost everything he had except his life, he lost his family, wealth, and health; yet he choose to trust in God and was rewarded for his faith.
Each trial and tribulation we have in this life is meant to draw us closer to God. I was diagnosed with an incurable disease but that doesn't seem so bad when I know that Jesus Christ has paid the price of sin (death) and has promised to prepare a place for me in heaven with him. My disease vs. his death on the cross, I am thankful I don't have to pay the price of my sins. I know that this life is a testing ground to lead to eternity. So I could ask you. Is a parent that spanks thier child because they ran out into the road for the umpteenth time being unloving or loving enough to correct a child a bad behavior? DO you disapline a child that you don't love? Maybe my disease will bring me closer to God. Maybe I get to see Him sooner. Who is the one to be piettied? May God hold you and keep you may his face shine upon you, may he give you peace. God bless you.

You will never get a satisfactory answer to the question, because "God"-based religions can't come to any agreement on it. Here are a few examples.
(1) "God" does not intervene in human affairs, therefore we are forced to endure the random acts of nature and life as they happen, obtaining whatever spiritual meaning we can find in each event, thus furthering our spiritual knowledge and putting ourselves further into god's graces.
I am an Atheist, but if I did believe in a "God", this definition is the one I would choose.
(2) Trials and tribulations, natural desasters and diseases, happen to mankind due to his "sin'". Your friendly televangelists promote this point of view. Regardless of how good a person may seem, he/she is without sin, and therefore will recieve the wrath of "God" through pain and suffering. We are plagued with suffering if we don't pray (any "God" that has to be prayed to constantly seems to be craving attention, therefore making it selfish), go to church ("pray and pay" is my view on church services), of follow the "word" to the letter.
I tend to doubt my No. 2, due to the fact that this makes "God" an uncaring, selfish, and spitefull being. Unfortunately, most Bibles back this view in various scriptures. Keep in mind that the Bible is man's interpitation of the word of "God", that man is not perfect and tends put his own agenda within anything he creates and/or alters. read the Bible for yourself and come to your own conclusions. As you read, be aware of the many contradictions. Like any philosophy, you will find pros and cons.
(3) Our pain and suffering, according to some, are tests that "God" puts us through to test our faith.
Once again, this seems to create an image of a cruel "God", and puts us humans in the position of somethingsimilar to "lab rats", or playthings. This also interferes with "free will".

There are many, many more theories and beliefs that try to explain why we are allowed to suffer, and you have to ultimately draw your own conclusions. Christians and followers of faith-based organizations will tell you not to listen to anything that I might say due to the fact that I am a "non'believer", but I would like to give you a bit of advise. Research all major religions and views of belief and choose what makes the most sense to you. My search for spiritual knowledge has brought me to my own conclusions, and I am content and happy in my belief.
To all that oppose my point of view: Atheism is my belief. Christianity is a belief, also. No faith can be proven to be a fact because there are no fact to support either belief. Let us drop our petty diferences and accept the fact that we are all members of the same society, and that we have the right to choose the belief system that makes us feel whole. Let us agree to disagree. Then we can focus on more important things, such as ending war, curing disease, making all men and women equals, ending poverty and starvation, etc., etc......

May knowledge and compassion set us all free from our suffering.

God doesn't want these things to happen, and he can't just change them. he has the power to, but we also have free will. god loves us so much, he wanted us to choose Him or not to choose Him. most of the diseases are caused by men and man-made choices. because of our sin all of the problems in the world occur. if that first sin never would have happened all would be perfect on earth

People forget that nature is amoral. Nature works in exactly the way God set it to work, and when its power is unleashed devastatingly, it is simply a natural course of events. People are sadly killed in disasters regardless of them being "innocent" or not. It's nature's way of taking care of itself.

The earth was cursed through our own sin from the beginning. God allows it to happen because that is what we chose.
