A little too young. The question is..
Are you being careful by using an efficient means of birth control?
Are you making sure you are with a reliable and responsible guy if he impregnates you?
Are you doing it because you want to, or the guy?
Think about that.
I can't say it's good or bad. You must say that. We are two different people. I am Catholic and your not supposed to have sex until you are married but I beleive that you can have sex if you are in a very serious relationship maybe even engaged. And maybe, you had that when you were 14, I didn't. So i cant tell you if thats the right age. But I do think 14 is too young.
16? Well your older and more mature. If you are being responsible and not just having casual sex, but are doing it in serious relationships when you are committed than it's not that bad.

Sex should be between a man and a woman, not a boy and a girl. Having sex at 14 or 16 is too young. I had sex for the first time at 18 and I realize now that I was not ready for the ramifications of what came with being sexually active. I know the hormones are raging, but that is the worst part, you won't know how to always control them. God loves you and gave you the gift of sex as a something that you do with someone you love. So if you think you know what love is at 14 and I can tell you don't, if even you feel like you do, then don't do it. Be Strong! When the right one comes along you will know it. You are a beautiful person and there is no reason to give yourself to someone for a recreational sport. That is what sex has became, just a recreation. But people do get hurt, or pregnant or sick. It is not a game. Please just consider what you are doing before taking the plunge. I wish I would have listened to someone and not have gotten married at 19 and divorced at 24. But now at 29 I am marrying a man that will take care of me, respect me and love me until the day that I die. It took me until my mid 20's to even begin to know what real love is and at almost 30 I am still learning. God loves you and knows that it is your decision to make, try to make the right one.

You should start having sex when you're old enough to accept the consequences of your actions. If you think you can handle having a child at the age of 14 and still keep up your grades and things of that nature while keeping the child healthy then by all means have sex (please don't dump your kid on your parents either...that's just wrong). But if you know you can't take care of a kid or marry the guy you're having sex with then don't. There's too many pregnant teenagers running around these days that are too dependent on welfare. So if you're going to have sex use a condom and get birth control.

Are you ready to become a parent? Are you ready to handle a pregnancy? Can you support yourself and a baby? Unless you have been surgically altered, there is the risk, even with birth control.
Are you aware of sexual diseases, and how to prevent them?
If your answer is no, wait. Like Russian roulette, with sex there is always the chance that your life will be altered, and not for the best.

You are 16 right? You 1st had sex at 14 right? That is way to young. You should be in love with someone before you have sex. If you are going to do it anyway. Please use protection. There are enough diseases and unwanted children in the world.

If you already started at 14, it's no use calling it good or bad now. Don't judge yourself. If you haven't, then you are better off waiting till you are married, or at least when you are in a serious long-term relationship with real commitment.

Right now it seems like a good idea but you will regret it when you're older and have fostered some sense of responsibility and what it right and wrong. When you do meet the person you want to spend your life with you will wish there hadn't been so many people to come before them.

have you always used protection? and by that i mean condoms not just birth control. so many people get std's so young now. i would hate to think you could have possibly ruined your life at such a young age. just be safe from now on. and that doesn't mean you have to stop having sex. just make sure you are doing it with the right person. someone you really love and want to share yourself with. not just sex for sex sake. that can be fun now but you may regret it later.
