I was stopped in this jerk water town in N. Carolina but this skinny bug eyed deputy. I was going only 2 miles an hour over the limit. When I protested the Deputy started yelling stuff about "nipping it in the bud" and hauled me into jail where I had to spend the night with this fat drunk. The next morning this redneck cop with Elvis looking hair comes in with a goofy red headed buck tooth kid, carrying fishingpoles and said he was justice of the peace. He let me out on bail for 25 dollars, but i dont feel like coming back. Should I forget about it or would they come looking for me?

Hope they dont send a posse. Im not too worried about the squirrely looking barber and the 2 grease monkeys I saw at the garage, but I did see a truck load of rednecks, with shotguns and banjos, that looked straight out of Deliverance drive by

run as fast as you can but beware the fat old lady with the red checked table cloth and curtains-- she's a doozie and will call the cops on you in a quick minute if she sees you headed out of mayberry.

I think you are putting us on. For a traffic stop, bail is usually the fine. Bounty Hunters are only use when someone skips a bonded bail. $25 is not a bonded bail (it is a cash bail which does not use a private bail bondsman).
Some people on these boards are clueless.
Write the court. Tell them you don't live in the area and ask what the fine is. Pay it. Get a receipt. Move on. I was arrested (or detained overnight) in Alabama for a similar stop when I was 19. (years ago). It makes me glad that I live in California where most of the cops are college educated and not one step up in the evolutionary chain as a Neanderthal

i'm afraid that that's certainly the region. the completed thought of status surety for somebody is which you stand to lose your components in the event that they don't happen to courtroom and could hence shop an eagle eye on them and their strikes. It sounds as in case you do not understand the greater youthful guy in contact very properly and are not very specific of his credentials. that's an extremely super sum for any courtroom to set as a surety and the expenses must be very extreme. If he skips bail, then the subsequent factor would be for the courtroom to difficulty a summons against you for you to coach merely reason why your 10,000 kilos should not be estreated. that's in no way unknown for somebody on your place to be compelled to sell a house to discover the money. by contrast uncertainty is the incontrovertible fact that the chum is waiting to danger his very own money. think of issues over very demanding formerly you're making up your concepts.

If you skip bail, you risk having an arrest warrant issued in that county and state. You'll never be able to go to that state again without risking being arrested. Additionally, some states have it set up that you can lose your license if you don't pay the ticket.

you are correct
they would come looking for you
you would probably have to pay double the fine
and you could just land in jail, for skipping bail .
you broke the speed limit .
if you don't face this case now , you will have a whole bunch of other nastys thrown at you .
Not worth the hassle , admit your speed ticket and be finished with it .

good luck

If you run a warrant can be issued for your arrest for failure to appear in court, while they will not go after you if you are ever stopped in the us again you will go to the local jail be held for a large bond since you are a failure to appear and will have to go back to that NC town to face charges you figure it out

Hey dude
whats up go take the punishment and then you are free. I had it done to me and a few other people for beating someone one up.
After the punishment you are free to cause trouble again

You should just pay the fine. It will always be on your record if you don't and skip bail. it might not seem like much, but better to take care of it than not.
