Very Much so. It showed so many sides of mankind. Compassion, love, hope, loyalty, friendship, support of fellow beings. And then it showed the intense cruelty, greed, lust, hatred, fear etc. If you take away the debate about 'was he the Son of Go' then I believe one can start to truly understand the point of the movie. It wasn't about religion it was about us.

I think it did very much justice.....they showed the gory, which is what has been hiding, you know people think oh, well some guy just got nailed to a cross no big deal....but when you see the blood and they do a very job to make it look real and all of the pain he went through, it can be a life-changing experience....they did a good job picking out actors and actresses as well. And I like how it was made in the other language....I think that helps the story along and makes it more realistic

I didn't see it although from the reviews it should have been called "The Smashin of the Christ. What I am interested in is did it show the Zombies rising out of the ground that are talked about in Mathew. I have seen a few other zombie movies, but I missed this one because it sounded much to gruesome, even for a zombie movie.

It was a snuff film and ridiculously obscene.
Let's see a movie about what Christians did to non-Christians during the Crusades. Let's see the horrific torture many endured as sanctioned by the Christian church - not for a few minutes, but sometimes for years.
Mel Gibson must be the reincarnation of that insane 17th century nun who flogged herself until she saw "visions".

I thought it was pretty good.
I never would have thought of the cross as a form of relief before---but after watching the flogging, I almost couldn't wait for the cross to come.
I think it is tough for some people, because we do not live in a culture where we permit that kind of torture.....but that is the reality of what happened (and not just to him).

Since Jesus walked away from the sham of the crucifixion, the movie didn't do justice to the 'true' story in the least.

It did change a lot of people I just think that Hollywood should leave the Bible alone. A few things in that movie were not real. I have never seen it but my sister told me about it.

I think the movie showed how much the son of God suffered in the last day of his mission on the heart for our sins and definitely how much God loves us... but as always after they walk away of the theater life became the same... In my opinion it was a great movie...

I thought it was a good movie. I think they did the best they could to portray the death of Christ, but I personally don't think anyone could even imagine how horrible his death really was. Good movie though...very moving.
