I saw a show on the History channel looking for the three wise men and their origins. In it they decided that one of teh first things they had to come up with was the date that they would have seen the "star". First they needed the year, well they found that because of the change to Ceasar Augustus from Octavius the calendar we use was 4 years wrong, and then the calndar maker was also a lousy mathemetician who forgot that to go from -1 to 1 you need a 0 in between, so yr 2000 should have occurred in 1995. This place the yeah of Christ's birth more likely to be in 5 b.c.(or for non religious types 5 bce). Using an astronomer who was also an expert in ancient astrology, they checked the stars during that year. In April of that year, the king star, Jupiter actually, was in the sign of Aries, which the ancient world associated with Judea. This would have meant to the ancient astrologers that a king was to be born in Judea. To make the point even further, though, the model indcated that all of the visible planets were in Aries on the night of April 17. That would have meant a very special King indeed. To use the phrase, "a King of Kings". So let's see I think that would mean Aries, although I am not that great about the dates for the signs, besides knowing my own. The other parts about the shepherds being in the fields with their sheep also supported a springtime arrival.
As an interesting sidenote, the magi could not have made the birth of Christ, they were most likely to far away to get there in time, they would have made it about 8 months later: sometime in late December.

Well, Jesus died in the spring of the year and was 33 1/2 years of age (Niasin 14)...so I would think he would have been born about October sometime. The shepards were still in the feilds so the rainy cold season had not started but the day of his birth really is not important the Bible says ones day of death is more important than ones birth. So I take it that we should celebrate Jesus death and not worry so much about his birth. Also God detests astrology and fortune telling so to put a sign on Jesus birth would not be something we would want to do I don't think. Right?
Hope this helps take care.

Some say he was a Capricorn http://www.new-birth.net/misc/misc1.htm
But according to http://www3.sympatico.ca/bibleprophecy/birth.html Jesus was probably born after the hot summer months, before winter.
Many years ago I read he was born under the sunsign Libra, which seems generally to fit his personality.

Before anyone says anything about him being born on the 25th of December, I would just like to point out that was not his real birthday... It is a historically validated fact the church borrowed that date from a pagan religion.

Isn't it sacrilegious to ask Jesus' birth sign since that's a pagan thing?
