To many, I'm going to a place called Hell because I haven't accepted this individual known as Christ. But I know the whole story about who "he" was and what he did, and I thought it was a cool way to be. I've been sticking very closely to his personality/actions. But from the Religious followers, hypocrisy abounds. I have my own answer, but would like to hear from the group of which I speak.

Jesus was a very wise man who wanted people to treat each other with kindness. As a prophet and philosopher who believed he had found truths, he wanted people to follow his way. His teachings were later profaned in some totally illogical and superstitious idea about having faith that he died for everybody's sins.

Your question and statement sounds like you have two problems with religion:
1) Christianity worships a "male" Savior
2) Many Church denominations are lead by "men"
Yes, I agree about the hypocrisy in the Church, and I'm glad to hear that you're sticking close to Jesus' "personality/actions", but is that really the root of your question? I think that (1) and (2) are your main problems.

Jesus Christ is the perfect image, the perfect reflection of God. If you were to look at Jesus, then you would know exactly what God looks like. Why did God choose to express His Image in a "male" figure? I don't know. Why did God choose to make Adam (a "man") first instead of Eve? I don't know. Can we know the real answer to either of these questions while we're on Earth? No, but that's part of being a Christian - accepting the way things are and going on with your life.

Just remember that "men" and "women" will always disappoint you. Jesus won't.

hypocrisy abounds in everybody, in every race, religion, culture, and creed. This is because we are human and have within us a nature to sin.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The problem with religion is it implies a set of rules for outward appearance. What Christ has called us to is a relationship. Even in our own families, our parents love us (hopefully) even when we make mistakes, and we love them in return. this is the kind of relationship that Christ wants with us; not one of rules and outward appearances.

we must accept Christ to be in charge of our lives. without that we cannot see Heaven. But there is so much more freedom with a true relationship with Him than a set of do's and dont's.

not everyone is hipocritcal to it. christ is the true savior, but i respect what you believe. many try to force Christ into people's lives, which just turns them away. CHrist does love you and will always be there for you at anytime. hopefully soon you will follow christ but for now... hope everything goes well. some people in "Man moderated" religions are very close to and like Christ, but it is the others that give the good ones a bad name.

I don't understand the question. I don't know what you mean by "man moderated" religion.

The first commanndment says that Jesus isn't God. There's only one God and he was around long before Christ lived and died.
Christ himself never claimed to be God. The holy trinity is an attempt to bypass the first commandment. It's not a legitamate loophole to allow Jesus to be God.
I was raised by nuns so I had more religious training than most people.
I follow the teachings of Jesus which makes me a Christian in my mind. Even if "holier than thou" people say I'm not if I don't go to their church.
Jesus was a great teacher so I don't need a preacher trying to give me his take on the bible.
I'm not hoping to get into heaven. It sounds boring. I'm just happy to be here and knowing the teachings of Christ makes it better. Most "man made truths" are myths to control people. Heaven is one of them.

Most rules of Christianity is were conceived by man AFTER Christ died.

Personally I don't think I have to follow those rules to go to heaven. I think the rules are in place to build a hierarchy and to control individualism.

I too have read and analyze Jesus's teachings and character and I don't think he would be like today's religious 'leaders' at all. In fact I think if he was alive today he will call them out and they would crucify him all over again.

Those who choose a "man-moderated" religion are least like Christ for that very reason. True Christianity is not a "religion", it is a personal relationship with a loving, forgiving, omnipotent Creator.

One does not have to follow a religion in order to be spiritual. If you follow the way Jesus lived and live by his teachings, that is what he truly wanted us to do (even moreso than sitting in a church).

There are many rotten church-goers that are a complete hypocrisy to what Christ taught. People that hide behind the church to spread hate and anger.

If you act on his teachings rather than just talk about it, you are way better off than many people that are self proclaimed hardcore "Jesus Freaks". Remember, love thy neighbor!

The rules are simple... You will head in the direction that you are looking and you will get good at what you practice at. I would then say that you are "looking" to be what you consider Christ-like to be and you are trying to "practice" what will take you in the direction you are looking. Everyone chooses only for them self. Deceiving yourself into believing only you have the answer is not "Christ-like". We are all One. Some remember that...others choose to forget. Their ignorance is intentional, they could not act this way if they remember who they truly are. We are all God. It is all a matter of where you choose to look and what you choose to practice...Are they compatible? If you wish to change yourself, then you must change where you look and change what you practice. These people who look towards and practice things that are not in their best interest will eventually learn the hard way. In the meantime...Hope you can look for good things to happen and practice being good. Joetheway.
