Sure, anytime you are in pain it makes it harder to lose weight. Any condition that causes hormonal fluctuations can also screw up your metabolism and compound the problem.

No it doesn't affect weight loss or gain. It affects your chances of getting pregnant and staying pregnant. Most times, if you can get pregnant, you'll miscarry. The doctor should have explained this.

No, but what you are probably seeing is water weight. Go for walks, and try to increase slowly your daily activities - this will help. I have been there and this works.
