There are plenty of affordable Hotel options in the Theatre District(also known as Broadway) of New York City(I am Owner of a Travel Agency). Probably the most important question is:
1-Your definition of "good but affordable". Please understand that travellers, by and large, have their own ideas of what "good and affordable" is to them.
But again, if you go by the basic definition, then I can say without hesitation that there are some quality hotel options in the Theatre District(Broadway) of New York City.
