its a part number. if you look up that number, it will give you the specs of the part. The "1N" means that it is a diode (2N for transistors).

It's the part number. A 1N4007 is a general purpose silicon recitifer, 1 A forward current, Vr(rms) 700 V, etc.

I guess what u have on it is nc and not no. If it is ,it means not connected.It simply tells that ,that leg of the diode is not connected.
