Not at all. Many people feel this way and feel that a person's ashes belong in a cemetary. We all view this differently. I would guess you've moved on and accepted his passing while she has not and still has a need to hang on to him so to speak. You might want to discuss it with her and help her let him go.
If she isn't willing, you have the right to ask they not be in the home you live in...since it is your place. She can get a safety deposit box at any bank and store him there safely until she gets her own place again.

No, it's not wrong. Some people just aren't comfortable with that kind of thing. Maybe talk to your sister about setting your father free by sprinkling his ashes somewhere he loved to be? I don't personally believe this, but many religions state that if a person's ashes are not released into the wind, the spirit cannot be freed. Like I said, I don't believe that, but I think it's great symbolism of letting go.

It's common enough to feel that way but apart from spreading the ashes, what else can you do.
You need to have a talk with your sister and agree on an action plan

Not wrong, but most people wouldn't freak out. If you don't like it, ask her if the two of you could spread his ashes somewhere he loved being, or bury them somewhere you can visit. Alternatively, take out a storage unit and put them there until she moves out. Tell her how you feel.

Did he have a favourite place he liked to go, or have something he liked to do. Maybe you can talk to your sister about spreading the ashes, in a place that meant something to your father.

I think your Fathers Spirit is telling you to put them somewhere.
That is why you feel uncomfortable with the ashes.
Take them somewhere nice and sprinkle them back to the Earth or Water.
If no one in your family wants you to do that, then give them the ashes.
I hope my advise has helped you

It is a little peculiar that you'd feel uncomfortable. They are just ashes.

It's perfectly normal just talk to a psychologist if that doesn't help talk to your sister to see if it's okay to give them to another relative
