Home made cole slaw. I've even taken to using the "brocoli slaw" that's in many grocery store produce sections now. Can hardly tell the difference, and it's healthier. Shredded cabbage (or broccoli slaw) grated carrot (if you buy the packaged, there's some in, but not enough) celery seed cider vinegar (just a little now) a little sugar (about a tsp) mayonnaise (the real thing) Mix it up (Mixing (and serving) with a big serving/salad fork is easiest) . Add mayo as necessary and mix well. Refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour before serving.

I think cole slaw is pretty traditional with crab cakes, but any traditional type picnic food is great, too--Baked Potato, French Fries, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Fried Apples, Corn on the Cob.....

Both are good for you, each fruit/vegetable has different vitamins. Therefore as more variety, as better. Vegetables have generally less sugar than fruits.
