I think that you have mis-conceptions about life. People DO value their virginity. There is value on everything in life. Whether it's high or low, that's of another issue.
Morals and values are simply a personal thing. I kept my virginity until I was 23. I valued it fairly high. However, I was not going to wait until marriage because this is not a core value of mine. Does this make my value system lower than others? In my opinion, no. It only devalues your system if you don't uphold to your personal goals and follow your own rules and values you've made for yourself.
A fact is only what you believe to be the truth. (i.e. once the world was flat - it was a fact, it was proven wrong and a new fact takes it's place). The fact is that I believe you should keep your virginity as long as you feel you should. Society has no role in this issue.

I'm not slutty, and I don't value my virginity. Is there any LOGICAL reason behind valuing your virginity? If you want to stay a virgin until marriage because you are worried about STDs, pregnancy, etc. then more power too you. But I practiced safe sex, and I think there is a lot of value and logic in having sex before marriage. Almost everyone is curious - the reason some of you girls get mad and call those of us who have had multiple sexual partners sluts, is because part of you is jealous. I've seen girls who have very little sexual experience freak out once they are married, because they realized that they chose to settle down with someone, before they had even experienced life. And besides - most of you who remain virgins until marriage are still doing EVERYTHING ELSE. Can you really justify your "holier than though" attitude with a dick in your mouth? Come on now, grow up. Like Gloria Steinem said "A liberated woman is one who has sex before marriage, and a job after."

Although I never liked to had sex before marriage. But at present days situation "Why any one will value virginity".
What they would get from it?
Now a days getting a life partner after loosing virginity is not at all a problem.
Earlier days we use to think love and sex as same thing. Now no one believes that. Even I accept sex is different than love. Then whats the big deal in loosing virginity. Why can't we all accept doing sex is a routine act like eating food and going to toilet !!

Human nature cannot be explained briefly. While some women do value their virginity others don't. I've even been asked why it is okay for guys can do it while the girls can't; they want equal rights. While the girls in asia tend to take it more seriously some are also breaking the mould by taking their virginity lightly these days. Lets face it, sex is a strong craving and neither girls nor guys can fight it sometimes.

The usual procedure is only to value something after it's gone.
Virginity is not like other things you may possess like a car or a ring and unfortunately there is no such thing as Virginity Insurance which is capable of restoring what you have lost or given away. THERE IS NO SECOND CHANCE.
It's a lifestyle choice but remember you can only give it away once - think carefully about how, when, why and to whom

Unfortunately by the time we learn what the real value of our virginity is, we've already compromised ourselves. It's probably the biggest regret I have in my life. Though I really was in love when I gave it away, and we had a good relationship for many years and a child on top of it, we are no longer together and I wish I'd have saved it for marriage.
Good question, by the way.

There is a lot of pier pressure to start sex early.
A lot of jerks pretend to love a naive girl and take her flower early.
Jerks will get the prize (much more often) because nice guys won't lie or pressure as much.
Nice guys have to repair damaged goods often. Virgin guys don't seem to be attractive.

Because we are not taught how valuable and precious it is. So we carelessly squander it. The same could be said about our other natural resources...
Today people give up their virginity like it was not worth anything. If we treated gold that way, the global economy would collapse.
