Domestic dogs are all a part of the same specie. Genetically, they can all breed with each other. In some cases, different sizes might make the mating process difficult though.

I hope that you're not considering breeding these two dogs. As it is, shelters are already full of mixed breed dogs who need a home. Please don't add to the pet overpopulation.

The short answer is "yes" those two breeds could be interbred, but I would highly suggest a female great dane with a male bull dog, that way the Female wont have a potentially painful litter delivery ;)

NO... it's a very bad idea. Deliberately mixing two breeds is irresponsible. There are millions of dogs (and cats) at shelters all across the country... in need of a good home. And there are millions who are euthanized (killed) every week.

Breeding dogs should only be done by responsible breeders who are breeding to better their breed, who are concerned about the health and temperaments of their pups.

yes they can - make sure the father is the american bull dog though - otherwise the pups maybe too large the other way round for the mum to carry them safely

NEVER assume it physically impossible for two dogs to mate. I myself saw my 21 inch female deliberatly LAY DOWN for my sisters 12" corgi (he was neutered so pups were not a concern)
I know of a beagle/borzoi (russian wolf hound) mating done for research reasons (took several people & a haybale)

It could happen .. but it's better not to .. american bulldogs mating with their own breed would probably be better so it could stay as NKC (sp??) instead of many different breed in one. 2 big dogs .. hmm, could be interesting, though.

no ..a great dane is too big to mate with a small breed.. it would be impossible .. besides why on earth would you want to try that unless you are trying to kill your dog.. sheesh.. some peoples kids.. bren
