A very good friend of mine asked me this : so imagine the scenario, you find out from this girl that she is pregnant and she is determined to have the baby. Your not in a financial position or a responsible position to have a child , yet the woman in question is.What do you do ?
The child will maybe want to know who the real father is and try and track him down, possibly devastating the future happyness of a future relationship and new family. What would you advise ?

It's really something that should never happen. It's high time the government stepped in and forced these women to be aborted. They are making a good living these days claiming from men and the state but nobody gives a damn about the child. Children need a family and these single parent so-called families provide an inadequate setting for child rearing. The birth of children should be legally restricted to married, stable couples. Even these can break down but the chance is less and the child gets off to a far better start.

It's really too late to advise now, he should have practice birth control. However, if she is determined to have this child there is really nothing he can do about it.

I would request a paternity test and base on the outcome, try to find a good job. If the baby is his, he will be financially responsible for at least 18 long years....

Men stop trusting women when it comes to birth control issues. Protect yourself!!!

Harsh would you be able to stay away from the child though knowing that it is yours? I dont think that this woman is thinking right about this its not fair you should both be in agreement on something like this! But you should have used a condom in the first place this is finding out the hard way you shouldnt sleep with people and not use anything unless you want kids with them.

If you dont want anythig to do with her or the child tell her she will be doing it on her own and you dont want anything to do with them at all. I dont agree with women that do this and i feel for your friend good luck

Say to the girl your not in a financial position but you are always in a resonsible position as soon as you are having unprotected sex. Be there in everyway you can and let the baby know who the father is. A lot of women are fine with single guys they meet having previous children

If he is married at the time, he is an idiot and should have worn protection!!! He's screwed!!!!

If he is single, then he should own up to the fact, keep in touch with the girl and when able, try to provide a little for the child...

He should also be honest with any subsequent partner (that he may have kids with) that he has a child...

This happened to me, and it has had a profoundly affected my life and my confidence in trusting anyone; she even wanted me to marry her. Imagine the anger i felt? She first talked about having sex on mutual grounds, said that she could not conceive, had me sleep with her many times over then started blackmailing me. She even told me that she would keep the pregnancy away from my mom if i married her.
I didn't give in to anything she demanded from me. I refused to marry her and i told her that for the lies she had told me she was solely responsible for the child and his upbringing; there was a plan on her part and she alone is responsible for her plan. I talked to her many times about my fears that she might get pregnant but she laughed it off saying i was being silly because she had told me the truth about her infertility (which was a lie). She wanted to take me to court, i said she could do anything she wanted but i'm fighting it till my death. My final condition to her was this....If the child is the problem then i'll raise it BY MYSELF, otherwise she's on her own. I never compromised on that. She was 37 and i was 29 then (i was still in school then and working); and she was an ex-assistant professor in a German university. Can't believe a teacher could do this to someone....I'm still hurt from all this. It happened almost 5 years ago now.

Please, he should never have done it in the first place Condom or not! As far as the baby goes it should be put up for adoption. There are MANY couples like my wife & I who are not able to have our own children & would love to take care of a precious life. That he/she is loved by God almighty himself & that the child is a vicTOR not a vicTIM!

use a condom to make sure situations like this doesn arise. if ur responsible enough to have sex then u shud be responsible enough to look after the baby u hav created and be there for both the mother and the baby.
if u say ur not responsible enough to be a father keep it in your trousers.
