I am a 38 year old female who comes from an upper-middle class background. I have never seen a rich girl seriously date anyone with less money than her. We call that "slumming" and it can be fun for the younger generation because when you're a kid you don't look at things in a permanent way, you know?
For that matter, I have never seen a rich guy seriously date a girl with no money, other than to have sex with her. A smart girl will stay away from a guy like that, but it happens all too often that a guy will use a girl for sex and the girl gets nuts about it. The thing is, even if a couple who is mis-matched financially gets together, eventually someone from the richer family will dispise the poor one. It can make for family trouble.
You see, having money does not necessarily mean one has class---and that can go both ways. A purely innocent, naive, wonderful person can be poor and lack the skills to seam flawlessly into new social settings. That can make for awkward situations. On the other hand, a rich person (family member) can act like an ***, which is very bad form.
I'm sorry to say that it doesn't usually work out. If you are truly interested in this young lady and your family is stellar then perhaps you would have their support and patience as you ease her into your world. You would have to make the first move and you would have to be persistent to get her to come around----and you would have to be very patient with her until she feels comfortable.

Wow you're like bragging right now when might not even be rich, just because you could afford a few Abercrombie! Well girls don't usually go for rich guys, if they did then you could dump them if they start taking advantage of you. Girls go for the more caring, and protective ones.

Women typically look for someone from a higher social class/tax bracket than the one they're in when they choose a mate. They'll date a poorer man, but they'll want to settle with a richer one.
