When a person dies, his brain stops working. There is no soul outside the conscious mind.
Our bodies continue evolving into other life forms through the process of decomposition. We live on, we just aren't aware of it.

Like everyone here I would like to think we go to another place. But lets be honest, we dont, we die, end of story.
Religion and the whole going to a better place was made up to make people feel better about dieing.
Many religions were formed in a time where everyone was at war with somone and the troops felt better to be told that if they die they go to a better place. It got them doing things a normal person would not do.
Religion was formed at a time where we could not say what was in the clouds, thats where god lived. Then we learnt to fly and all of a sudden god isnt in the clouds, hes in space. Then we get into space and oh wow!!! guess what, god is no longer in space hes somewhere else. the moon maybe and so on. Its all BS!
If we truely do goto a place with 10 virgins and all our lost loved ones why dont we all just get on and do it?

I personally feel that we go to a different plain when we have died, I do believe in reincarnation. It all depends on what you come back as, if you have been good or bad in your life, that will decide what you come back as. Some people cannot explain how they know someone they have never met before and have such a strong bond to that person, I feel that they have known each other in a previous life and that their life was happy and full of love.

The Hindu scriptures inform us that all living entities are eternal spiritual souls who are neither born nor die. The souls migrate through various bodies in their quest to become happy separate from God.
God created the material world which is illusory and temporary so that the souls could experiment with their ideas.
Our desires and actions in our current lives govern whether we migrate onto another body when our current body dies.

We don't die - consider the Caterpillar, believing it dies - it transforms into such beauty.
We transform into the eternal energy that we are!
Then we can do either of the above... as eternal beings who take these earthly existences, we contract the roles we play on earth and this can take a number of lifetimes (reincarnation). After several earthly incarnations we complete our earthly journeys then ascend in spirit to the higher collective consciousness.

when we die, we just return to the dust and sleep a deep sleep. if Jesus friend Lazarus was anyplace when Jesus resurrected,he would of told everyone that he was in heaven or reincarnated, so like the bible tells us dust you are dust you will become. remember when Adam was created he was never existed and when you died you don't exist either. it is a deep sleep. also read what Bill said about the dead. read your bible about the dead. the bible does not say we will go to heaven. only the ones that Jehovah God anointed the 144,000 will go to heaven. we the meek shall inherit the earth. when the floods came Jehovah did not destroy the earth, he destroy people for not listening to him and being bad, so no Jehovah will not destroy the earth, Jehovah can not lie. read Genesis 2 verse 7, Jehovah God blow the breath of life into Adam and he became a living soul, so we are the soul our bodies, so when we die our soul dies also. it goes to the dust. we return to the dusk with our soul.

To say when we pass on(or Die) that we are in a state of limbo not knowing where we are but we are there & we are with loved ones that awaitning God's judgement of how we lived our lives(i.e. Good or Bad) that's when god goes through and wieghs all thing that we done or did that was sinfull or not that we have to account for them. then we will be separated into 2 groups (Heaven or Damned to Hell depending on how wicked the sins that all of us has done to offend God for eternity) Also when we die I don't belive that we will be reincarnated once your time on earth has expired and God calls you for your judgement and that's it.....

There is no reincarnation. There is one shot at this life. We're all sinners. The Bible says that God sent Jesus Christ His only Son to die on the cross in full payment of our sins. Those who reject His payment will have to in effect pay for their own sins and the penalty is eternal death and everlasting destruction.

WHAT JESUS SAID ABOUT DEATH
Jesus Christ spoke about the condition of the dead. He did so with regard to Lazarus, a man whom he knew well and who had died. Jesus told his disciples: “Lazarus our friend has gone to rest.” The disciples thought that Jesus meant that Lazarus was resting in sleep, recovering from an illness. They were wrong. Jesus explained: “Lazarus has died.” (John 11:11-14) Notice that Jesus compared death to rest and sleep. Lazarus was neither in heaven nor in a burning hell. He was not meeting angels or ancestors. Lazarus was not being reborn as another human. He was at rest in death, as though in a deep sleep without dreams. Other scriptures also compare death to sleep. For example, when the disciple Stephen was stoned to death, the Bible says that he “fell asleep.” (Acts 7:60) Similarly, the apostle Paul wrote about some in his day who had “fallen asleep” in death.—1 Corinthians 15:6.
The Bible teaches that the dead “are conscious of nothing at all.” They are not alive and have no conscious existence anywhere. The account of Lazarus confirms this. Upon returning to life, did Lazarus thrill people with descriptions of heaven? Or did he terrify them with horrible tales about a burning hell? No. The Bible contains no such words from Lazarus. During the four days that he was dead, he had been “conscious of nothing at all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5) Lazarus had simply been sleeping in death.—John 11:11.
The account of Lazarus also teaches us that the resurrection is a reality, not a mere myth. Jesus raised Lazarus in front of a crowd of eyewitnesses. Even the religious leaders, who hated Jesus, did not deny this miracle.
Think about this too: If Lazarus had been in heaven for those four days, would he not have said something about it?— And if he had been in heaven, would Jesus have made him come back to earth from that wonderful place?— Of course not!
Yet, many people say that we have a soul, and they say that the soul lives on after the body dies. They say that Lazarus’ soul was alive somewhere. But the Bible does not say that. It says that God made the first man Adam “a living soul.” Gen. 2:7, Adam was a soul. The Bible also says that when Adam sinned, he died. He became a “dead soul,” and he returned to the dust from which he had been made. The Bible also says that all Adam’s offspring inherited sin and death too.
The Scriptural teaching of the resurrection, however, is not compatible with the doctrine of the immortality of the soul. If an immortal soul survived death, no one would need to be resurrected, or brought back to life. Indeed, Martha expressed no thought about an immortal soul that was living on elsewhere after death. She did not believe that Lazarus had already gone to some spirit realm to continue his existence. On the contrary, she showed her faith in God’s purpose to reverse the effects of death. She said: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” (John 11:23, 24) Likewise, Lazarus himself related no experiences of some afterlife. There was nothing to report.
Clearly, according to the Bible, the soul dies and the remedy for death is the resurrection.
