Sounds to me that you have depression. I know because I too suffer from it. However, some depression is called from the emotional effects of life while other depression can be caused by a chemical imbalance. My depression is caused from a chemical imbalance. My symptoms were as following- sleeping to much, at time insomia, became anti-social, no longer was intrested in talking to family and friends, hid out in my bedroom, cried for no reason, had no energy to even do the simplest of things. It took everything that I had to just get out of bed to feed my kids being that I was a single parent. I was also a college student and even though I started out in college making the Dean's List, I shortly became a failing student due to the lack of going to classes since I just couldn't deal leaving my room.
My suggest is that you need to see your regular doctor. You will need most likely medication to counter the effects of your depression and you can also seek counseling. Since I have found the right medication along with the help of my doctor I am doing much better. I wish you luck and please go before it gets any worse.

i have been in this position a few times in the past. a lot of people will tell you to seek counseling but i think the best way is to overcome it yourself. Counselors dig too deep and try to come up with a reason for everything you think and say. Try to think of what has caused you to feel this way. When I was going through depression I realized the only way to be happy was to tell myself to be happy. Depression is usually a mental thing, and if you can tell yourself to overcome it you will! One thing that helped me was taking alone time and doing something with it. For me, I would go hiking, take a trip to the mountains or go to the beach. Being in a natural environment can do wonders on your well being. I know it may sound dumb but its the truth. I saved my own life and I can't be more thankful for my own will power. So many people are in your position. You can either choose to make it better or let it worsen. Just keep in mind that you can beat dperession if you want to. Its in your head, so if you have the strength within in you, you will be fine! I hope this helps you. You can overcome this on your own... without a psychologist and without medication.

Sounds exactly like my problem. I have been like this for 10 months now. I shared it with a friend and she said I am bi-polar(manic-depressive). Even tried to kill myself twice. Now I am seeking psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. I hope it gets better. I hope to hit the gym soon. I have become lethargic and reclusive. I thought an end to my life will be the answer . I was wrong. Life is about fighting it out, no matter how tough it gets and avoid going to suicide websites and depressing stories. It becomes a habit and might trigger unwanted reactions if you are too depressed.

You need help, but before all you have to decide to ask for it. No one can help you if you don't have a wish for that. This question is a good start. Go one. Take some time to think of what has bring you in this position, something must happened, you have to put that problem in front of you and than to find the way to pass over it. Friends are very good help, even when they are not involved in resolving our problems, it is good to organize your time to have some life, freshness, joy. We all, sometimes, are going through dark period in life, but knowing that there is a sun after this helps us to go and to win. Respect yourself. Imagine how many things had to be perfect and had to be happened for you to be borned! This is not a strange answer, this is the truth! Respect your chance, you got the life to live it, you got the life to be happy! Love yourself!

It's either a serious depression or a really bad habit. Either way, it's bad news and you need to get some help pronto.
