Islam began with Mohammed roughly 1,000 years after Christianity began. Your own Quran records the story of how Mohammed went to two Christians to get his first dream interpreted because even he believed that he had been visited in the cave by a demon. Problem is, those two Christians were apparently unaware of what Paul said about testing spirits that may come with messages, that such spirits must come confessing Jesus as Lord -- or more appropriately from the Greek, confessing Jesus as God Most High.
Interestingly, "angels" also apparently visited Joseph Smith, Charles Taze Russell, Mary Baker Eddie and some others too -- telling them all that Jesus is not God.
Islam is a demon-religion founded as a response to Christianity. Mohammed was confused, but because he was a great war leader he gained credibility among disinfranchised peoples of the middle east that he was able to unite into the Ottoman Empire.
Incidentally, wicca is also a response to Christianity, unless you are lumping paganism into wicca. In that case, paganism would be the second oldest religion as Noah had already come and gone at that point, having heard and obeyed God.
Religion may at times be translated into a form of mind control by human practitioners, but Biblical truth is easily the most liberating form of intellectual pursuit. People find their "minds controlled" when they seek to have another do their studying for them.

Jews also believe in the Oneness of G-d. Christians believe in one G-d as such, but that His powers and influence on earth, are divided into three - The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Islam alongside Christainity and Judaism are part of the Abrahamic branch of religions (meaning they can all stem their beginnings to Abraham). Meaning that Islam and Christainity stem from Judaism. So out of thr Abrahamic religions, Islam is not the first. Plus, many ancient religions were around - worshipping idols rather than one G-d - way before even Judaism existed.

Well, that's what's known as "circular logic." You set up the conditions for something to be true, by defining it in YOUR TERMS, and then you say that it must be true. because it fits your definition.
Given that your religion depends on Mohammad, and Mohammad was not born until many, many generations after Adam and Eve (which is a "creation myth" from Judaism, by the way--one that was borrowed by Islam, which came long after Judaism), then Islam has to have been MUCH YOUNGER than either Judaism or Christianity.
And if you don't depend on the book of Genesis to explain the origin of humankind, then one has to realize that all of the Earth Religions--most of which were polytheistic--were the FIRST religions on Earth.
I think that what you really meant to say is that Islam is the first "true" religion on Earth. And, from the point of view of all Muslims, it certainly is just that. But it is also one of the NEWEST religions on Earth, in terms of the history of humankind.
In summary:
Islam is the "first" religion: NO, absolutely not.
Islam is the "first" "true" religion: Very possibly YES--depending on ones POV.

um if you are going the whole Adam Eve moses route for this argument I think the Hebrews beat you to it but nice try. Islam does trace it's roots to Adam and Eve but the true line departs with Ishmael and Issac Abraham's two sons the Jewish people came from Issac the son God promised to Abraham and Islam flows for Ishmael. Islam itself didn't not become a recognized religion until after Muhammad.

Islam is/was/will never be the first religion on earth! Adam and Eve, Able, Noah, Shem,...Abraham, Isaac, Jacob,...Moses, Joshua, All of the prophets...Jesus, the disciples, the first Christians.... my father and mother, me, my children.... are all Sabbitarians. Islam did not come about until about 1400 yrs. after the flood. So, loose the pride.

i dont think so... if your talking bout religion as a group of worshipers..well...PAGANISM is the first religion...where people worship all things created by ONE God. These GOD created things represents GOD himself according to the pagans... that is why they are mis understood... christianity was born during the time of christ... islam was born out of the prophet mohammed but also considered as an abrahamic religion.. thats why there are two versions of the bible... the OLD and the NEW testament.. where the old beliefs would wither and a new covenant has been made...

Islam was not the first religion on Earth! The peoples of the Earth were asking the "heavens" for favors long before Islam was even established.I believe that Wicca and or pagan was the world's first true religion. Get your facts straight before preaching them to the world!

I can prove to you without a doubt that this is not correct.
However I know your not interested, as you have made up your mind despite any evidence you might see. It is sometimes called indoctrination, others call it lunacy.
The first religions would be totally unknown about and predate any written evidence. There are many archaelogical religious finds which have nothing to do with any of the monotheistic religions originating from judaism and are thousands of years older than even 6000 BC.
If you can ever get your mind open again:

Whether you like it or not I have tons of evidence on my side, you have... well nothing but your opinion.

I don't think you are correct..... The Egyptians went to worshiping one god... Ra.... during the riegn of Rammses the 1st.....and Hinduism is the recognized oldest religion, yes as Hari Hari being the Supreme Power. Now your question was about the oldest religion.... even when you go to His Oneness.... or omnipotentance.... I don't think you asked a logical question in a true state. Had your question been ..."Did you know that Islam was the first religion to recognize that there was only one Supreme Power with oneness?"... you would have been correct,

The first TRUE worshipper of God was a monotheist named "Abel". The Scriptures describe him as first of a long line of faithful worshippers of God, related at Hebrews chapter 11. So what does the bible call this long line of faithful worshippers?
(Hebrews 11:4 - 12:1,2) By faith Abel offered God a sacrifice ...because we have so great a cloud of WITNESSES surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus [caps added]
Since Abel was a WITNESS of the Almighty, we can understand that JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES are the original form of TRUE WORSHIP, which admittedly is a monotheistic religion.
Adam and Eve were Satan-worshipping sinners, so feel free to co-opt them as the founders of false religion.
