whats the role of the rooster?

rooster does a bit of chicken plucking(or something that sounds a bit like plucking)

When a rooster finds food he may call the other chickens to eat it first. He does this by clucking in a high pitch as well as picking up and dropping the food. In some cases the rooster will drag the wing opposite the hen on the ground, while circling her. This is part of chicken courting ritual. When a hen is used to coming to his "call" the rooster may mount the hen and fertilize her egg.

a chicken will lay egss with or without a rooster around.if you want chicks,,,you NEED the rooster to mate with the hen..its the boy/girl thing.!! roosters are needed to have chicks but no big guy around,, then you'll just have eggs ,,like the ones we buy at the store.

Through sexual reproduction, by the rooster. It looks rather violent but it's the only way

He mates with the hens and deposits sprem in them and they form eggs around it. Fertile eggs and 21 days later baby chicks.

the rooster has a really, really tiny johnson. i mean REALLY tiny, like a needle. he is able to penetrate the membrane of the egg with his micro member without damaging the shell. i'm surprised you have never heard of this.
