Love and Hate are the same thing.
The difference is, they run on different energies.
The only way you can avoid the one or the other, is to not care.
Apathy = Not Caring.

Example-
If you love or hate someone, you care about them.
If you don't care about them, you wouldn't even think about them, or say their name, or talk about them when they're not around, or let 'em rent space in your head.

The opposite is indifference. The line between love and hate is very fine, as both are passionate feelings. To have non-passionate feelings is to be indifferent.
