If you think of your body as a car, the chassis would be your backbone (spine). Though I am no expert, I believe the chassis of a car is the first thing that heads down the assembly line and everything gets attached to it to make the vehicle. The chassis gives the car rigidity and forms the protective components surrounding the passengers.

It is the skeleton of a car. All the cars major components are attached to the chassis. The body sits on it, the suspension is attached to it, the engine,transmission,fuel tank and exhaust system are all attached to it.

the Chassis is the frame work of your car. that is starting point of building your car. Everything is attached to it. Very important piece in building your own vehicle besides the rollbar.
