Why dont the anti abortionists fund super detailed sex ed that coveres EVERYTHING, hand out free condoms, reaserach perfect contraception and see all pre teens are put on i before even capable of doing it, then its only removed after 6 months of form filling to indicate you are truely ready for kids after age 24?

Is it as they are part of the go forth and muliply cult who does not have a commmandment against rape as it would get in the way of go forth and multiply, why they hate gays too.

or that young single fit women have lots of power over men... untill they get pregnant?

Likwise why promote marriage given the divorce and domestic violence rate...

is it to fund places like this?

'The Magdelen Laundries' should be in your video shop but the tv drama 'sinners' was more accurate if you can find it.
over 30,000 were involved up till 1996...how old were you at that time?
How many of your friends, you or your sister could have ended up here.

I totally don't understand this either.

Most anti-abortionists favour no sex and no learning about such matters until marriage, and don't believe that women should make any decisions, just get married, stay home and look after the kids.

Some also believe that any type of contraception is evil excluding the rhythm method which doesn't actually work. Another belief is that women's sexuality is somehow 'evil' and promotes lust/rape/etc.

I have seen the 'Magdalen Sisters' film twice, but it would still shock me to see it again. I was raped a few years ago, so wonder if I could have ended up there given the right circumstances. My great aunt was raped by a policeman and got pregnant when she was young, and was then ostracised by most of the family because of the thinking at the time.

They mostly do believe the 'go forth and multiply' which I don't believe can now be in the physical sense of having many children, but more in the sense of spreading the seed of the Word of God.

Although there are high divorce and domestic violence rates, that doesn't prove that there is anything wrong with marriage, just that there is something wrong with people. I would make counselling obligatory for anyone wanting to divorce(!)

There aren't as many pure anti-abortionists as you might think. The ones that get all the attention are the ones that shout the loudest. That is also true of the pro-abortionists. Extremists on boths sides get all the attention, but I believe the silent majority is more settled in the notion that a first trimester abortion should remain private and lawful, a second trimester abortion should require more attention, and a third trimester abortion should not be allowed unless there are serious health or life risks involved. By the third trimester the parents have had plenty of time to make this decision.

So to answer this question, the extreme anti-abortionists aren't in great enough number to affect campaigns as large as you imagine, nor do many of them care so much about sex education because they are too caught up in the religious notion that we should not interfere in natural reproduction.

By the way, those of you who answer this question need to discontinue such nonsense as "a woman has a right to do with her own body what she chooses." Of course she does. But that isn't the issue at all.

The issue is what a parent chooses to do with another human's body. It is the rights of the baby that is in question, not the rights of the parent. Currently our law doesn't give any rights at all to a human being until his or her head has cleared the womb. That is why partial birth abortions were a legal procedure until recently. Many believe this is too late for a baby. It is also futile to argue all of this on religious terms, obviously because religion is a subjective paradigm.

Until people are willing to stop fighting this debate with the wrong weapons, using diversionary tactics like a "woman's rights" or a "soul" instead of focusing on the civil rights of the baby and its biological welfare, the argument will go on, and on, and on.

Everyone has the right to do with their bodies as they please. If someone chooses to have an abortion then it is their decision to make. So your idea of making pre teens take contraception and not allowing them to stop taking them until they are 24 and able to indicate that they are able to look after kids is also an infringement on human rights!! Their are places young people can go for advice on contraception if they really want to but many choose not to go, and that is the sad reality of it i am afraid.

God created mankind with a human dignity second only to his.

He created the earth in order to give us life.

Through the normal means of procreation (heterosexual sex) God allows us to share in his creative work, but only within the proper framework of holy matrimony.

When you abort, contracept, mess with fertility clinics, emryos, embyonic stem cells, cloning, and stuff like that, you interfere with things that are reserved to God, alone, and you kill living human beings.

The 5th commandment states, "Thou shall not kill."

Consider the 50 MILLION innocent babies that have been conveniently slaughtered since abortion became the norm in the world.

God justly reserves the ultimate power of life and death for himself. It's never smart to attempt to thwart the will of God.

He didn't put men here to have power over women, or women to have power over men.

Rape is a sin, a crime, and a great evil, which violates the dignity of women, and of all mankind.

It's a lot easier to find out what God would like us to do, and just do it, than it is to try to make up our own rules.

You seem to be suffering from a host of misconceptions.

Look around and find some some happy families with children. Life is good. God provides. Have some faith.

Grow up!

Abortion is only ever an option in the most extreme of cases. Some people use it as a form of birth control where self control would be more appropriate.I enjoy getting jiggy with it but am all to aware of the consequences.Don't play with fire unless you are prepared to get burnt.

they don't really care that much they are just trying to take the moral high ground when the majority of the time they have never been in the situation where abortion becomes an inevitable option therefore they shouldn't open their mouths

Most pro-lifers believe that contraception is no different to abortion, and that teaching sex education is the same as encouraging pre-material sex.

They're not just anti-abortion. They're also anti-sex.

They oughtta be ashamed of themselves for lying to kids and making it harder for them to protect themselves.
