No! Herpes is spread by direct skin to skin contact and sex (there are other ways to like childbirth). But no, you can not get it from a salon.

You don't have to have sex with someone to get herpes. Cold sores (herpes simplex virus 1) can be spread by simply kissing someone with a cold sore on their lips or mouth area. Even sharing lipstick, chap stick, or a straw (like a soda or something) can spread herpes to another person.

Genital herpes (herpes simplex virus 2) is spread by direct skin to skin contact or sex. Even just rubbing genital areas with someone who has the virus can result in a person getting the virus. Also, a person doesn't have to be showing any signs or symptoms of the virus (like sores) to spread it to someone. The person can be "shedding" the virus which can result in you getting it. Up to 70% of people with genital herpes, got the virus from a person who was showing no signs of it. That's how I got it!

Bottom line, no you can not get herpes from a salon, or sharing a toilet seat or shower with someone who has the virus. Even swimming pools and jacuzzis do not have the virus, and it's not because of the chemicals killing the virus, its because you need direct skin to skin contact with the virus to get it.

Yes, there isn't any. Herpes is caused by a virus. Actually, there is little cure for viruses nowadays. The only thing that you can generally do in the case of a viral infection is strengthen the immune system and hope it fights it off. Not with Herpes, the immune system can't win against it. Thus you only get to treat the symptoms. Once you're infected, it stays with you for life. So don't get infected.

Personal experience. I have had genital herpes for over 5 years.

I got diagnosed with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 6 years ago, when I was still attending college and had a dumb one-night stand. I realize lots of girls will declare this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a huge mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/0g2as everything changed.

Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes simplex virus from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating once more. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This method gave me back the opportunity to be happy and experience true love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the World.

Yes, actually on the Tyra Banks show the other week they had mentioned that you can get it that way. It's from them dipping the waxing stick into the jar, yes they may use different stick for everybody but they dip all those sticks into the same jar of wax. They should pour the wax into a disposable jar or something so they are not contiuously dipping into the same wax.

Highly unlikely. Herpes is spread through oral, anal and vaginal sex. Its presentation can be weeks to years to show. You may have had it internally without knowing it for a very long time. Get it confirmed and take the required medications to lessen its duration. There is no cure, but help is out there. I hope you get better soon.

I guess it is possible if the waxer waxed an active outbreak, improperly cleaned the tools or whatever, and then touched another person right away with it.
