In a salad spinner with a slightly damp paper towel on top. You can get a lettuce spinner cheap too at Kmart or Walmart. There are more expensive ones ($20-$30) but you can pick one up for about $5 and they work just as well...it gets all the excess water off the lettuce and keeps it from getting wilty and the damp paper towel keeps things just moist enough to keep things crisp

Remove all packaging and store it in the crisper part of your fridge. What I do at this time of year is grow a few lettuce in the garden (very cheap from the garden centre). All you need to do is go outside and take as many leaves as you need and leave the rest growing. Perfect and so easy! You can also grow a pot of rocket from seed to pick and mix in with it.

You can use zip-lock bags or other storage options mentioned above, but I would also recommend drying lettuce in a salad spinner first before storing it in a refrigerator. This way, the salad is less likely to wilt soon.

i work in a lettuce factory, we store our lettuce at +3 degrees C, the best way to keep it fresh is to buy awhole head and only take the leaves you need. the other option is let your Boxer dog steel a bag of it and bury it in the garden, we found a packet 3 weeks later and it still looked good. :¬}

in a plastic bag, or wrapped in plastic wrap. try to separate the amount you need without using a metal knife, because this causes the lettuce to start turning brown. you can use a plastic one if available.

Break up in a salad bowl, and lay a paper towel over it loosely when storing in refridge. It will keep it crisp a little longer.
