the sky is blue due to the angle at which sun light hits it. The phenomenon is known as light scattering. When sunlight hits the atmosphere at more or less right angles it scatters on the water droplets (which act as prisms) into the higher frequencies-blueish. When the angle is closer to 0 or 180 degrees (glancing) it scatters into the shorter frequencies-reddish. Thus sunrise and sunset colors.

This is a cuisine question? Oh well... it's blue because molecules in the atmosphere scatter the blue wavelengths in every direction, while the other wavelengths pass on through. It's called "MIE Scattering".
So...do I like win a cookie or something???

The only thing that bothers me more than you asking this in an Ethnic Cuisine section ---- are the people that are seriously actually answering "why the sky is blue"??

I agree with "morpheus2155". He has the correct answer. The reflection of the ocean has nothing to do with the color of the sky.

It reflects the color of the oceans.
Same reason the sky is red on Mars. Most of the ground is rust colored.
