When I buy them the package states to not refrigerate them, which is fine but why not, aren't they same as their full size counterparts.

I think the idea is that if you plan to eat them soon, there's no need to refrigerate them. We keep grape or cherry tomatoes in our fridge and no problem.

Actually you're not supposed to refrigerate any type of tomatoes. It makes them lose their flavor. Just store them on the counter.

I work at a fast-food restaurant, and we used to keep grape tomatoes in our cooler for salads all the time, until we changed to regular tomatoes. I thought the salads tasted fine.

Don't refrigerate tomatoes--it ruins their flavor.

You can refrigerate them, but they taste better when they are out of the refrigerator.
