In relation to my question about charges for an American Express card; the one I received is Delta Sky Miles/American Express. I called an 800 # and realized too late that I was talking to a machine and actually confirmed the card. What I was trying to do was get the question about charges answered.

Depends on which Amex you are reffering to. There are some that are free and there are some that will range up to $300. If you are reffering to the regualr green card I think it's $55.

Blue, BlueEarnings and most co-branded cards like the Costco TruEarnings are all membership free with a preset credit line as low as $2,000., Green is $75, Gold is $90 a year. Red is $100 By invitation only. and Onyx Elite Black $50,000 By invitation only all with no preset spending limits.

Its usually $75 per year and they give you the first year free of charge as a promo to sign up.
