Well I need a place where nothing matters and the food is great. Some where sweet, but sour.

Buenos Aires
The best beef and sausages, desserts, wine, tapas, Italian, etc. You can't beat the prices either.
You won't regret it.

I would say if you are looking for somewhere in the US (as in like 1 state) I would go with Hawaii. Since it is sooo close to the orient it has various influences and very interesting and exotic ingredients. Also the feel there is relaxed like everyone has all the time in the world. Scenery is beautiful too. Hawaii is my recomendation.

San Francisco and New York. After you've tried everything those two cities have had to offer, go to the corresponding country of your favorite food for even more authentic cuisine.

Outside the U.S., you have to try Rome and Florence in Italy. There is so much more than red sauce! Have some real risotto, fresh fish and end with a smooth, creamy gelatto and gato di lingua cookies while people-watching. It doesn't get much better than that.

Hong Kong--the local cuisine is great, but being such an international city, you can find practically any cuisine there.
New York City--same reasons as above.

In the middle east, you have lebaonon, Jordan and Syria.
In the EU, you have Italy, Cyprus, France, and maybe spain.
In the US, you have NY, SF, LA, Seattle, Boston, and all the metropolitan centers.

But if your there... Alan Wongs in Honolulu is the best restaurant in the country. Del Friscos, NY may be the second best... although I would argue (with myself) that Chops in Atlanta may be the 2nd best...

you cant go wrong (except that Bombay is now officially Mumbai).
If you cant go to these exotic locales, go to NYC --- you get every cuisine on the planet!
