Symptoms can rarely diagnose an STD. Things like UTI's or bladder infections are very common after sex, and are not considered STD's. The important thing to know that if an STD is causing those symptoms, it sounds like a bacterial infection which is curable. Get tested, and start using condoms!

You can have blood after the morning after pill you friend is correct. If you are burning it is good to go to the clinic. You could have an std or an infection of some kind. It could be an irritation. I would not worry either way. You are getting treatment and what is done is done. Be careful and protect yourself next time. You are going for testing and treatment if needed. You should be treated as if you have anything. It is nothing to be ashamed of it you do have an STD. You will just need to be treated. I have had scares myself only to find out I had a yeast infection or a bacterial imbalance or irritated skin. You need to get checked, but please do not get worried just make sure and get treatment if you have anything. Just take this scare as a reason to protect yourself next time. You do not want to go through this again. The bleeding was probably the morning after pill so do not be scared, but ask the clinic. Tell them about the burning, so the can check to see if you have an std or urinary tract infection.
It is okay just forgive yourself and try not to be scared just get the care. You are on the correct care. Oh and yes I have had both of these problems and no STD.

The morning after pill causes your body to have a period. If the bleeding is like a period then you are probably fine. You should have been told what would happen after taking the pill when you were given it.

You are best off going for a test but dont panic, STDs are common and it might even be cystitis which many women get.

Dear Worried,

I've never had the symptoms but you've made the right choice to go to the clinic. And don't just check for HIV but utilize the clinic's full array of services. In most std cases, the only sure way to know if you're infected and/or (in some cases) cure diseases is to be tested as soon as you suspect any unusual disorder and take the necessary steps to safer behavior. Be blessed!

i am not familiar with the side effects of the morning after pill. stds rarely have obvious symptoms, but they usually include foul smelling discharge and unusual color or texture of your discharge.
if it hurts when you urinate and feel like you have to go to the bathroom all the time... and then nothing happens when you go so you just sit there and it burns.... mostly likely you have a urinary tract infection (UTI) which can also create blood in your urine. this is treated with an antibiotic...

but dont fret... often STDs have treatments and sometimes can be cured.

please remember this fear the next time you have sex, and protect yourself. it is not worth feeling this way for a few moments of pleasure.

Only the doctor can tell you if you have an STD.
You are now experiencing the emotions you will feel every time you have unprotected sex. Even a condom can not fully protect you from HIV\aids, parasites, or herpes. They're not even 100% effective against pregnancy. Using 'protection' is kinda funny thing. It doesn't protect you from much. The thing you really need protection from is yourself and you poor decision to have sex.

You had unprotected sex for the first time? does that mean you plan on doing it again? Of course you do! Because some people have to learn the hard way, and you're one of them! In the meantime your stuff is rotting, it hurts to pee (how long do you think you can hold it?), and you're dripping blood. Earth to Jade 16 Kent??? Of course you have an STD. I'll repeat my mantra for knuckleheads who insist on shagging but don't have a clue: THINGS TO THINK ABOUT BEFORE YOU GET CAUGHT UP IN THE MOMENT.
