If you are having sex using condoms properly are the most effective; they are not 100% though. Abstinence is the only sure way to not get an STD. Even then, some children are born with STDS if their mother has it. Herpes and HIV/AIDS can be passed from the mother to the baby during birth. A Cesarean section can be done for mothers who have the herpes virus, this prevents the baby from getting it.

STDs can also be passed to another person just by skin to skin contact. Chancroid, chlamydia, crabs (pubic lice), gonorrhea, herpes, and HPV (genital warts) can all be passed to someone just by skin to skin contact with a person who has the STD.

Alot of people would normaly tell you to not have sex at all but it's really difficult so here are a few things you can do to get pleasure and not have to worry about getting any infection.

1. If you and your partner feel like you are ready for intimase just cuddle without removel of the cloths.

2.Use toys (warning never use anyone elses toys).

3.Take a cold shower.

4.Have you male partner take his knee and have him massage you private area(not to hard though).
