Well, if everyone likes seafood that's a good place to start. OR, lots and lots of fruit like pineapple, cherry and mango center peices. They are beautiful and edible. Don't know the amount of $$$ your looking to spend either but there are some great finger foods you can try. Fried Mushrooms stuffed with crab and cheese, shrimp cocktail, even better....visit Pier 1 and pick up some huge shell plates and serving dishes. I once served a seafood salad (salmon on romaine lettuce with roasted nuts and feta cheese..yummy) anyway I served it inside a huge pink snail shell I bought in Santa Cruz Ca. If you can't find innovative dishes like that....use white ones. Can't go wrong there, and it accents the seafood too. Don't forget decorating with lemons and oranges too. Have fun.

I know that seafood is the obvious choice here, but have you considered the East Coast tradition of a clam & lobster bake? This can be so much fun and there are lots of catering companies that can help you out with it. It's always so much fun and your guests will really enjoy themselves.
Or you could go the tropical route and have a "Tiki" theme with torches, drinks with those little umbrellas and fruit straws, and then of course a Hawaiian type menu with Roasted Pig, Chicken Skewers, tropical fruit and pineapple rice.
CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING MARRIED!!

Seafood! Or for those who don't like seafood, do surf and turf! Serve Steak Wellingtons (easy to make... steak inside a pastry) and coconut shrimp!

For party favors, check out Breezy Beach Wear. The website is: www.breezybeachwear.com
Giving out leis to your guests or fun braclets or necklaces or even hair clips would be a very appropriate gift!

A watermelon boat or two filled with strawberries, cantaloupe and kiwi.

Surfboards covered with little canapes (the smaller styrofoam surfboards can be spray painted with Krylon paint and decorated with ConTact paper cut outs.)

Sandwich loaf with toast points arranged to look like the sun.

Or you could do a clambake themed entree with mini corn on the cobs, clams, shrimp. You could skewer them for a small group, or put them out clambake style for a larger group.

I have done this for a regular dinner party, used shells with small votive candles to line the table, larger shells scattered on the table with some sand sitting on top of mirrored trays look beautiful and are very inexpensive, check out your local craft store. For recipes, you can not beat allrecipes.com--they have the most and the best you will find. Have fun!

Simple easy bbq type foods. Fingery type foods. Easy stuff. Which would be nice for your wedding too because its cheaper and more casual...which with a beach theme it sounds like that is what you would like to go with!

I stay no the region close to to a coastline, and that i have embellished my finished abode and the front outdoor with a coastline topic! Why not have a coastline wedding ceremony ceremony interior the mountains?!
