No, you cant eat meat if you want to be vegan. A few people post questions about going vegan from being meat eaters.
It is a drastic diet change as vegans not only dont eat meat, they eliminate all dairy, cheese and eggs from their diet.
Becoming a vegetarian may be a good start for you. Just eliminate meat and substitute it with tofu, lentils, beans and lots of dark leafy green vegetables to get iron.
If you dont find being a vegetarian too hard then you may want to go vegan.

absolutely NOT! You should make sure you know what a vegan is before you comit to such a life-changing decision. There is alot of meal planning and sacrifice involved. Vegan is no animal or animal bi-products(milk,eggs,dairy products, etc.) You should try becoming a vegetarian first. Then consult with your physician to see if a Vegan lifestyle is right for you! Good luck!

Is sugar fattening? Do cars transport people?
That's a ridiculous question you are asking, like the two above. Vegan=vegetarian=not meat. How can beef be vegan?

vegan is very simple, fruits vegetables, nuts and seeds, nothing that lives breathes, nothing from a cow (or any animal) no meat no eggs no cheese, only things that grow from the earth. Do be careful to balance your meals properly, be careful to get enough protein, tofu, seitan, lots of different mushrooms, quorn, and try to take a vitamin B12 supplement, as there is no way you will ever get that in a vegan diet . . right, don't forget a handful of walnuts each day for your omega 3 . . . good luck!!!

No. A vegan is "a vegetarian who eats plant products only, especially one who uses no products derived from animals, as fur or leather" (dictionary.com)
This means you don't eat any meat, of which beef is included.
Make sure you know why you're becoming a vegan before you do it, and have a dietician help you plan daily meals so you're sure to get all the proper nutrients your body requires.

Vegan means you don't eat anything derived from animals. No beef, chicken, pork, fish, eggs, cheese, milk; not even honey. Some vegans will not wear silk, leather, or fur, and will not use products tested on animals.

Do some research into the farm where the beef comes from. Some farms slaughter their animals in order to get at the meat, while others perform a benign surgical procedure under complete anesthetic and remove only enough flesh to help the animal fit into its new pants.

Sorry, it is the flesh of another living being, slaughtered for our eating pleasure. Vegan is what grows from the ground, vines, and trees. You know, vegetables, fruits, etc. Generally anything that is living and breathing in one form or another that has to deprived of it life and its blood no longer can course through its veins if we are to eat it would not be considered vegan, that would classify it as meat. Think: meat=flesh :)
