it can work but you mustn't flaunt it.

you must drop him/her after a certain while and move on. Otherwise it turns out to be some STRING type of relationship.

Only if both parties are involved with other people before the relationship actually starts.

You are right. I think one or the other gets involved more than the other before it is over. It is very hard to be with someone and not get involved with them.

As long as both parties know in that type of relationship there is a beginning a middle and an end. read the 50 mile rule(a book)

Someone always gets hurt. I have been in one of those "friends with benefits" situations, and let me tell you it is only fun when it is being discussed. It hurts alot when it actually starts to happen. I would have to say that for 50% of the people in the world sex has a strong emotional component to it, and ,therefore, for one person in that situation will fall in love.
It would be very hard to go back to being friends, and in my case, it proved to be impossible.

Yes, I do believe someone always gets hurt. It never works out. It is very hard to be friends with someone afterward because you have to hear about that person being with someone else and it makes it very difficult.

Depends on the situation. I've seen several of these relationships, and they end tragically more often than not.

If you are mature and honest enough, and know how to maintain respect for each other afterwards it can be a wonderful friendship.
