I think that if anyone thinks of committing suicide then there are deeper problems that need to be resolved, and the person needs help. People who think of doing such an act are desperate and they don't think that anything else can be done. People are so quick to say no that it is wrong, but they don't stop to think and put themselves in the position of the person who is actually thinking of it. People can't imagine what that person is actually going through to think about doing something like that. Also, people who say that people who have commited suicide are selfish- can I ask you a question? What if you found yourself in a position where everyday was filled with pain and suffering, where everyday was filled with horror and things that you wouldn't be able to dream about in your worst nightmare... What would you say to suicide then? Oh yeah one more thing... for Catholics etc. who feel that suicide is wrong and sinful... does God not have a plan for all of us? What if within that plan was suicide... ever think about that?

Its a truism but:
"Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem."
Whatever problems you have now, change will come, nothing in life ever stays the same. This means that every good thing will eventually be lost, but also that every cause of sadness or misery will also eventually pass of its own accord.
If you find yourself thinking of suicide a lot, GET HELP, this isn'ta question of right or wrong, just of what you can do so that you will feel good again. Anti-depressants do work in many cases, as does excercise and talk therapy, look after yourself, your life is precious even if you don't know it and it is the only one you will ever get. Even if you do not know it, there are people that care for you, even though we've never met, your life has value to me because of our shared humanity.

Life is meant for living and believe me its only us who make life worth living. There are so many things we can do in life. Ofcourse life is comprises both up and downs but the one who accepts both as part of life is a happy person. Suicide is an indication that you have lost the battle with life and usually committed when you are very frustrated and sad. However, maybe if you look around you'll find that every problem has a solution. There could be so many people in the world who may need you cause sometimes only ur smile could make someone's day...

Tough question. Depends on what's causing you to think of it and what your circumstances are in life. Normally, no. Things would have to be pretty grim for a normal person to think of committing suicide. However, having had depression for almost 5 years, I can say that when you're mind isn't quite right, justifying it is quite easy which is not normal. If you have a pretty normal life otherwise, then no, it is not justifiable. If you think you are depressed, then there is plenty of help out there. Contact me for more info if this is the case.

No....suicide can NEVER be justified. One should never attempt suicide coz we have no right to end a life that was brought by our parents with love and emotions. Why do you want to commit suicide? A good counsellor or even a close friend can help you get out of this frame of mind. World is a beautiful place to live in. You gotta set ur priorities right, make your goals and work hard towards them. Also don't forget, ending your life will bring end to YOUR miseries, what about the one's behind you? Someone, somewhere loves you a lot and believe me, it's worth living for that love. You only live once.....so live your life kingsize!!!

You can think about anything you want to. Whether you act on those thoughts is another matter. There's no point giving yourself grief over thinking about it, as it comes from either a chemical imbalance in the brain or the effects of a series of bad events in life. It would be better to get some intervention at this point, because depression can be lifted, suicide cannot be reversed.

Thinking or acting?
Four of my friends commited suicide in a matter of three years. I suffered from severe insomnia for about six months. Sometimes you get so angry because those people put you through something like that but on other days you realise that they were going through worse.
I just want to spit in the faces of these Christians and Catholics who pull up their noses and say that it's a sin.
F*** you you insensitive bastards!!!! Just because you live in a happy fantasy place with gumdrop houses and magical fairies, who gives you the right to condemn someone on the harsh lives they lived? Hypocrytical pricks!!!

In truth, suicide is an act of desperation. Sometimes the situations we find ourselves in are so relentlessly horrible, we can simply not find another way out. But you have to remember... Any terrible situation can work itself out, it's just a matter of timing and surviving the storms. Stormwinds are gonna blow no matter what. Justification can only be found in your own eyes. But I think you should exhaust every possible resource before giving it a second thought. Hang in there!
