Why do the eastern men look shorter than others?

We use to see that, all the eastern men look to be short, while the western people look to be quite tall. Is there any ecological reasons (or) genetical reasons behind this...?

Be careful of overly generalizing things though.

It is true that some racial stock seem to be much more receptive to certain genetic codes (like how most euro caucasians are tall. or how most african americans are heavy set in their build) don't be too quick to lump them as eastern and western.

For instance, there are very many greatly tall African citizens who would easily make your typical American look short. Just as there are many terribly over-weight Americans compared to the more lean and agile looking Asians.

But individually, there are tall, short, fat, thin, massive, slender, lean, stocky people in any racial stock. Genetic leanings are more due to inherited traits than actual racial matters (so those who have mixed racial genes tend to inherit either dominat or possibly recessive traits even a few generations past).

Well if you agree with darwin, it's all about evolution. All beings on earth have to evolve and adapt in order to survive. And yeah, there is an ecological and genetical reason. We adapt to our environment (ecological) and it brings change to the genetics.

Or the easy answer, God made us like that : )

because of genetic..and also because the eastern men's is from the time that humans was very small.

louissan no they dont, in some asian countries eating are like one of their favorite things to do :P but i think it has to do with genetics or nutrition

Is it? Maybe u r generalising on the basis of Japanese & Chinese. They sure r short.But have u heard of Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan,..................???

they don't look shorter - they are shorter. why? because they take less time to eat.
