My husband and I have been batteling the courts since April of this year, due to the fact we had an agruemnent that was purly a verbal one and the arresting officer already hates my husband brought up a chainsaw. And so we are fighting to get the chages reduced, however the courts have since put us on a no contact order, and we are trying to raise to kids in 1 home, and just live our lives, however we went and got married. Which the courts do not know yet. So my question I guess is would it do more harm then good to tell the courts that we are legally married now?

By getting married you violated the no contact order. The ramifications of that depend on the laws of the state you live in. I have to say that I'm concerned for you and your children, both mentally and physically. Please go to some sort of counseling and learn how to have healthy relationships. Really.

Like all legal maters, you must consuly state laws to see exactly what they say on this point. Legaly married implies that you obtained a marriage license, so you already have effectively been given consent by the state to have contact. I expect that in most municipalities that the no contact order would be grounds for annulment if something goes badly.

Congratulations on the wedding.

Good Lord, please don't reproduce anymore!

You're a perfect example of the my least favorite part of being a cop. Victims who go sideways on what they initially told the officer on scene. Let me guess: It was all a big misunderstanding, he really does love me.

What a waste of everybody's time and the public's money. PLEASE tell the court! You might lose your kids, but that might be a good thing because they might have a chance at making it.

By the way, your grasp of written English is wonderful, it must be cuz you done graduated from sixth grade.

If it is a physical contact order then no unless you kissed at the wedding, but if it's a general no contact then you've breech the contract. Well thats in England, not sure about anywhere else.

Only the issuing court can vacate that order.

Why would someone marry the man that was violent like that? For that matter, why would someone raise their kids like that? Hope your kids don't beat THEIR spouses, or get beaten up when they get older! Geez............
