The only place you can buy hi-res images are from stock houses. gettyimages.com is one of the largest so try them.

Gettyimages has high resolution photos (up to 48MB) of The Mona Lisa and The Last Supper (see 2nd link and click search), but they are expensive (£300 or so). However, I can't find any other sites with high res images. The site is difficult to use. You may need to create an account before it lets you browse all the features.

Well, my experience with Franesco Guardi eventually furnished 2M downloads of his more famous materials. That da Vinci is, by far, far more known and renowned, I would suggest that a comparable Google-base site search would turn up a few satisfactory items. Will take about 3-4 hours, eh?
