There are so many religions because there are so many kinds of people, cultures and traditions. This diversity makes religion rich and strong.
Some science is fact, some is theory. Science still has a lot to learn about the universe that God has created.
No religion that I know of claims to know every thing. In fact the word "mystery" appears in the Catechism of the Catholic Church 240 times.
Something being a mystery or not completely known to us does not make it a figment of our imagination. Mysteries inspire our imagination, both in science and religion.
With love in Christ.

Just because you don't believe it doesn't mean it isn't true. The Catholic Church possesses the Fullness of the Truth, but that doesn't mean all Catholics understand the Truth. We do know that the Catholic Church is of God. That is why is survives and thrives in spite of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
We also know that anything not of God is eventually doomed to failure. That is why the other Christian denominations have experienced division, after division, after division. God maintains a certain degree of presence in non-Catholic Christian denominations, but the non-Catholic Christian denominations are of their human founders, not God.
The Fullness of Time will reveal this to be true.
Chances are, you will discover that faith is not merely a figmant of imagination, long before the fullness of time is complete.

religion is a way of power to keep in line all people. I believe it was a way of keeping law and order. Nowadays all these different religions are fighting for power- rather like a pop star when on tour. First believe in yourself. Second NEVER say or do to others what you would not like said or done to you. Help others when you can and hope that others feel this way too. And if god made man in his own image- does that make each of us a god too?

Many people look at Catholicism and say religion is bad. To many all they know is Catholicism. But the teachings of the bible are a direct contradiction of Catholicism. For 1000 years the catholic leaders have killed bible people and prevented people from reading the bible. Today the bible is available for all to read.

The Catholic church invented a book of mythology. That book is used by billions of people to support their delusions. If they did not call it "religion," it would be called "insanity."

There will always be many religions because no matter how smart you are none of us know which one is the best until we die. After that you're either saved or screwed.

if you must know any religion is just an excuse to have a middle man to 'connect' with any godly creation. Its just a scam to make money. ask yourself have you ever heard of a free religion?

RELIGION IS THE PRACTICING OF A PARTICULAR DENOMINATION/FAITH ( i am catholic and proud of it)_
HOWEVER, SPIRITUALITY is what you feel inside -- it's the connection that you have to the God of YOUR UNDERSTANDING...
I UTILIZE BOTH FOR MY SPIRITUAL MAINTENANCE
