The average cost of a wedding is to be determined by the where, when and how many questions. Where the wedding will be held in church or other place you have to pay to rent the space. The when is if you have the wedding during wedding season the price of food flowers and many other things will be higher. The how many is the major one you have to have enough food at the reception or everyone along with the cake. Think and plan everything, get price quotes and don't forget to ask family and friends if they can do somethings.

if you are worried about the cost then dont have a big fancy wedding, the point of the whole thing is to end up married to the guy you love, not to put yourself in debt up to your eyeballs and ensure that your first year together will be spent worrying about money. people spend ridiculous amounts of money on that one day, well those few hours really and that money could benefit their lives together so much more. getting married can be done for a very reasonable amount of money and still be perfectly nice and accomplish the goal. how much will you really enjoy it if you spend the day thinking about how much everything cost?

We got married 2yrs ago and including the honeymoon and spending money we spent a little less than £5000.
I did make my own cake which saved me around £500, but I did buy my dress,we hired suits and a lovely car.
Dont forget it doesn't have to cost the earth, the church is around £300 and if you chose wisely the reception could be cost effective.Get the family involved with the catering and you only have your room cost

I heard on a TV documentary that the average wedding in the UK, in 2005 cost a whopping £17,000!!! But darling if you are smart, you can do it just a good, just check out those bargains. Its not all about the money you spend or how grand it is, its about starting your life together. Good luck on your forth coming wedding.

you best get saving up then if you want the whole fairy tale dream wedding, I saw on a site yesterday the average is now £18:000 - £20:000 British pounds, that to me is a silly sum of money for an event that lasts one day!! It can be done much more cheaply than that, you just have to decide what is important to your day and what is not.

Congratulations!I
I've just booked my wedding - we're getting hitched in Kenya. Its going to cost £4800 and includes 10 nights all inclusive in a hotel, 4 days on safari and then 1 day back at the hotel. Not a bad price I think compaired to doing the white wedding church thing, and they organise it all for you - perfect!

you can spend as much or as little as you want on your wedding, those with money will spend loads, and if you havent much to spend, no worry just do what you can and enjoy it some people waste a lot on the wedding when they could use the money to set up home.

my cousin got married last year and had a small(ish) wedding and it cost her around €10,000...my best friend is getting married next month and having a big(ish) wedding, her budget is €22,000 so id say it depends on your taste and the size of your wedding and stuff...best of luck anyway

depends on the type of wedding if it is abeach wedding and after ceremony on the beach i guess you could cover it all with food and beverages with five thousand minimum or if you want the whole shibang at the reception centre then your looking at around 20,000 thats with 120 people thats what mine cost us
