Is the retainer clear, or does it have a wire going across?

take it from me, you can leave it out for a couple of days, but then your teeth want to go back to where they were. Then you cant get your retainer back in. I wish mine still fit, my teeth have moved alot since I stopped wearing it..

I had my braces removed for almost 2 years and I am still on retainer. I was advised by my orthodontist to put it on (only at night) for as long as possible (at least 2 years) because I have witnessed friends whose teeth got out of the way after going without retainer for a few years.

its got a clear plastic thingie at the top or bottom depending on if its the top or bottom 1. its got a wire going across the front of ur teeth. i left my expander (its not me with the retainers) out for a week and counting.
