The fact that you are realizing that you sin more and more is part of being a Christian. We are sinners.

When I met Jesus, I knew that I had to give up sin. To me, at the time, that meant trying to live my life for Him and quitting smoking.

As the years have passed, I have realized that smoking was relatively minor compared to my heart... I am to love my neighbor...and I can't do it perfectly. My thoughts are impure. My mouth is filthy. I don't do what I should ..... and I do what I don't want to do (Romans).

At the beginning of my Christian walk, I had no idea that ridding my life of sin would be so hard. We are to strive with all our being to be pure as He is pure...holy as He is holy.

You are not to pray for forgiveness PRIOR to a sin. That means you are willing to accept it's pleasure for a moment and love that sin More than God.

You are to fight it with all your being. You are to pray for God to rid it from you. You are to set up boundaries and ask for help from other Christian's. Fight the sin and have victory over it.

This is the misery of the Christian life. I know I'm a sinner and I will never be perfect. You will still continue to sin...and that is NOT okay. On the other hand, you have been totally forgiven ALREADY if you are a real Christian.

Pray for strength...yet even praying for strength about a tempting situation can even make things worse... Not that God can't help you, but sometimes a temptation is best not to be focused on...

Sometimes the more I focus on a sin, the more I want to do it.

Notice T.V. preachers...Some of them have been so overly loud and judgemental about sexual sin...and then we find them doing exactly whay they are preaching against.

Why were they so loud about that sin in the first place? Perhaps because they were fighting their own personal battle with it.

Stay humble, hate your sin and your sinful self, don't give in to sin.....and when you do, pray and start over again.

ok, listen, you need to take things slow. don't worry because god knows exactly what people are like, so he's not mad at you or anything as long as you try.
i've found that the best way to change your behavior, (for any reason) is to change only a few things at a time. start out small. decide what's most important for you to change right now, do that for a few months, see how it feels, and then when you're ready, add more things.
also, if you didn't know something was a sin, don't sweat about it. learn what is and isn't a sin gradually, and as you become aware of what sins you're committing, add them, again, little by little.
to be good in any religion takes time. time to learn and time to change. god knows this better than anyone i assume.

Your statement in false in that you are ignoring the rebirth at the point that a true believer in Jesus Christ is saved from his sins and born again.

You need to remember that God knows the very intents of the heart before you say or do anything. And based on our true intent we are judged as a sinner.

Please examine your motives for you postings on this site. If they are evil, God is making a record of every thing that you think, say and do.

You will answer for all on the day of Judgment. And will spend eternity in Heaven or Hell based on your relationship with Jesus Christ.

I pray that you ask Christ to forgive and save you today.

I din't see any 'christian bashing' going on in your previous question. I think that you didn't get the answer you wanted and now you're not happy.

Don't be so upset if someone else's opinion is different from your own, you asked the question, they answered.

Too my knowledge of religion I think in your case if you know you are sinning and are not stopping..thats bad

If you did sin and consider yourself a bad person and are trying to change- thats good

Either way the lord forgives you if you admit too your sins before you pass over..

You don't have to be a Christian to answer correctly & respectfully. You just have to realize that even though you may not believe a certain way, others do.

no, better to know what your are doing wrong and strive to correct yourself than continue to be ignorant and let the problems plague you.

the first step in changing your behavior is knowing what needs to be changed.

Even if you don't know you are doing wrong, your still doing wrong. Just do what you know is right, and over time it will be habit.
